I got bored last night, nothing on t.v. so I decided time to try this modding thing so I built up just a basic flashlight mod with crap I had laying around a 510 connector and a 14650 battery G4 cartomizer and a stainless steel drip tip,I figured this was a good mod to start with.I think I will make a passthrough version of this and maybe try a boxmod next. It feels great in the hand and vapes great:D:D:D HPIM0093.jpg

I have E-Power with 14650/1300mah. It's an Ego size mod but a bit longer. The switch attachment plus 510 connector adds significantly to the length, about 1.5 inches. (It's a great mod and this particular battery is also great.)

What I like about the flashlight mod you have here is that the switch part is part of the whole housing and it doesn't add to the length. I wonder if this mod (pictured above) is all mechanical and if it is how does it affect the overall vaping experience. E-Powers and similar devices obviously have switches with electronic parts in them for voltage regulation, etc.

This is interesting to me because I've always liked small mods with removable batteries. I have to wonder why not many are making mods out of mini flashlights.

Check out Parkes Vaping's mods. I just got my Diamonds from them, they're made out of a small flaslight's tube and use an 18650 battery. Quite nice for $25 IMO.

For those interested, there's a TON of flashlight mods posted right here on ECF along with tutorials and even some videos. See Modding Forum Modding Forum and specifically the Sticky by Madog Magnum Power http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/3759-my-diy-dse901-magnum-power.html. They're quite easy to do and are a GREAT way to get into modding. Mini flashlights can be had for around $2 and if you just use the built-in switch (you can convert it from on/off to momentary) the only other thing you really need is a connector (around $2). Only tool needed is a soldering iron (though having access to a dremel might be helpful).
