I spent the last couple days at my local vape store in search of something to get bigger clouds/better flavor on my sigelei zmax. The guy told me an rba is the only way to go i said great and took one home. Now i'm running into "low load" "no load" codes on the device. He says now i need to buy a mechanical to get it to work correctly (after already telling me this would work with my sigmax). Is there a way to get this AGA-T2 to work well with what i have or am i being taken advantage of?

For heaven sakes!!! Here we go again.

Don't worry, it's not against you at all.

But God!

These vendors!!!!!

They are idiots!

Every day good folks just like you comes here and ask for help about RBA's because some ......... vendor sold them a product without instructions, warnings or directions.

What did he tell you exactly?

To answer your question: yes, you can run it on your z max without any problem.

What's probably happening is one of 2 things:

1- Your wick is not well oxidized and is shorting out (assuming you are using a Stainless steel mesh wick)
2- Your coil resistance is too low.

Regulated devices like the z max will not fire a coil if it senses a short... Usually they will interpret 1 ohm or lower as a short.

An item that you should seriously consider buying is a multimeter and learn how to use it, even if your z max can read your atomizers ohms a multimeter is a must for any RBA users.

Sadly, most of these "vendors" don't have a darn clue what they are doing, let alone, try to tell you about a product. You will need to rebuild the coil so that it meters roughly 2ohm so it won't stress the motherboard on your zmax. RBA's and RDA's are best used on mechanical mods BUT they can be built to work on your mod.

I'd still like to know what the OP has used in the past. If, for example, he went into the shop looking for something better than a vivi nova, perhaps the RBA should go in a drawer for a little while. Just a thought.

This is also true, if you're a "noob" I'm not sure if you were ready to make this jump.

p.s. from now on if you have questions just come here, all of your questions can be answered in this community

Hi

Your being taken advantage of if the only solution you were give was to buy another APV. The chances are the resistance of the AGA-T2 is ridiculously low - or it's shorted - and the Zmax is going into protection mode as it should.

You will need to learn how to rebuild the coil for your AGA-T2 -> Rebuildable Atomizer Systems NOTE: You may not have access to this section of the site until your post count is above 15. Having a basic volt/ohm meter is a must if you are rebuilding anything to check for shorts and to check your resistance.

Does this place even sell the wick and wire you will need to rebuild this thing?

I wouldn't trust my local vapor store as far as I could throw it, and sadly it's the only store in town. When I first heard about the Twist I went there to find out more about it and they told me they didn't carry it because it was junk. I ended up buying an eGo-C "Upgrade," the kind that has regulated and unregulated modes. Oh boy, was that a winner.

To many guys opens up vaping shops thinking that they can run it like a candy store. The "buy this, try that" way of doing business will lead them to there demise.

You are either:
Being made a fool of
or
Being sold stuff by a complete ignorant that as no business being behind a vape store counter.

Everyone just wants a quick buck

That's how I am being in NJ doesn't give me as many options as say living in CA, I have about 2 brick and mortars I know of in state

I started vaping in new york. There was only one shop at the time... in queens, Looked like the crappiest store you've ever seen. But these guys (was actually a girl) were good, they knew what they were talking about.

I went there not to long after I started vaping and told the girl: I built a 0.7 ohm coil... She looked at me and almost yelled: "Didn't I tell you to keep your coil above 1 ohm!!!"

and then proceeded educating me on battery safety etc etc... To bad I had already killed 2 of my 18650s

I thought every shops were like that.... Apparently not.

Wow you guys are amazing. A lot of questions to answer. I started with a 900mah ego-c upgrade and an iSmoka BCC. Bought my first mod (still used iSmoka) and wanted more flavor/vapor. Which leads me to now with the purchase of the AGA-T2

I wrapped my first coil with 32awg ni-chrome and had a hotspot at the top coil and dropping resistance. Took it back today for help. The guy tinkered with it for over an hour wrapped multiple wicks to no avail. I left to get lunch and came back he says he's got it working, but he has 28awg kanthal on it with only 4 wraps. I look at it and tell him this isn't going to work with my mod. He says, "yeah about that". "You're gonn have to buy a mechanical." I took my stuff and left.
