aga-t are a pain to build. u did get the hardest possible rba for your first try. try a rda, much much easier to rebuild, very good performance
I heard the same. The AGA-T are nice to look at and vape from when it's working right, but one of the hardest to build. Many told me to get a RSST instead.

Thanks very much. In my AGA-T2 the wick hole isn't insulated. My resistance jumps around a bit, and I think it's because I'm getting a short between the wick and the edge of the hole. I'll try wrapping it in cotton to see if that can be eliminated.

Ok I'm very new to re-buildables so you should NOT take any thing I say as gospel. Far as I know, the juice is not electrically conductive. Haven't tested it with my multi meter, just passing the word (g). Check how tight your ends are on the posts. From what I've read that is a common problem when readings are jumping around. I have an AGA T 2 also..haven't really used it yet though. Did make a coil with cotton wicking just to make another coil (my second!!) for it. Drips fine but that's why I also just bought an IGO L (straight dripper). Now my biggest problem is finding a juice that I want to use so much that I have to have it in a tank! (G)..

The juice is definitely not conductive - or at least not near conductive enough to cause a problem.

On my first two builds I got shorts and hot spots galore. Then this weekend I sat down determined to get it right and guess what, I got it right. :) Built myself a great coil with around 1.4 Ohm resistance, it's vaping like a dream. I guess the first times around I didn't oxydize the wick and kathal wire properly so I got all kinds of current leakages.

Sorry, just got new phone and situated (what I use when I'm on here). I had the exact problem with my resistance jumping. There was also a weird taste that came along with that short. Cotton will eliminate that.

The cotton I use is the medical rolled cotton. I got it at CVS for like $5 and it's enough to last year's. Just take small amount off roll, feather/thin it out some, then roll your SS wick on the strands... It should grip it. You can just thin it out and roll/tighten it on with your fingers like your re-rolling the Wick too.

The cotton is mostly useful to insulate the AGA t2 but the flavor and extra wicking you get from it makes for a real nice smooth vape. After a couple weeks I'll torch off the old cotton and apply new. I still haven't rolled a new SS mesh and its been a while. Try it out and I bet you'll be glad you did. Coupled with a "micro" style coil, it's a 8 min job to re-cotton and coil and have a perfect vape first try every time.

I've tried full cotton wick on the AGA t2 as well... Just didn't taste right to me. Almost too smooth and the flavor was different. For me, the SS Mesh wrapped in cotton brings the best of both. Smooth almost creamy flavor with the clean/metallic hit that SS gives you.
