Well, it's been 27 days since my first post here on ECF and 23 days since I received my PV and I'm happy to report that I've only smoked less than 1 full cigarette!

A few observations that I've made during that time.

1. Prefilled cartomizers aren't that great. They don't seem to last that long and don't have the flavor of bottled eliquid. Also, trying to wash/dry/refill prefilled carts doesn't seem to work nearly as well as blank carts. From here on out I'll be ordering empties and filling myself.
2. TastyVapor is awesome! After picking up Boston Cream Pie & Banana Cream I can see why eliquid and blank carts are the way to go.
3. 24mg is just too much nicotine for me. I get too many headaches when using 24mg juice, fortunately they go away relatively quickly. 16mg or less seems to be just right for me.
4. I'm happy with the KR808D-1 (Cigeasy's '902'). The two manual batteries I have last me a day and a half, produce plenty of vapor, and aside from the button sticking a few times I've had no issues. The Riva/Ego/Maxx/Tornado look tempting but for now I don't see a need to change anything up yet.
5. I couldn't live without my USB passthrough. I'm on my computer a lot... at home and at work... even in the car (my GPS is actually Intel Atom based with USB 2.0, so I just plug the PT into it when I'm driving). I basically use my batteries on my 'smoke breaks' at work - the rest of the time I'm on my PT.
6. My health - people have commented that I look healthier. My girlfriend has noticed that I've stopped coughing when I'm sleeping. My eye color has changed which is a weird... I have blue eyes and they're 'blue-er' now. My sense of taste and smell have come back. Food tastes better. But, things that smell 'bad' really smell bad now, lol. I'm not winded when walking up a flight of stairs. I used to get frequent sinus headaches which I no longer get.
7. I love not having to go outside when it's raining. My girlfriend loves the smell of Boston Cream Pie and loves that I don't stink like an ashtray. And slowly but surely my car is starting to smell better.
7. And, finally, ECF is the my favorite website now :) I don't do a lot of posting but I do a lot of reading. The community here is awesome. Have a question? Ask and it will be answered. Thanks to all of you...

My PV has truly made a positive difference in my life. I can't see myself going back to cigarettes. vaping is so much more enjoyable. And it's more than just a habit. Thanks to ECF it's become something of a hobby.... a very enjoyable past time.

I'm still hooked on nicotine which isn't a good thing, but this is the best possible alternative...

ECF rocks :)

The KR808D-1 quality is bad! man cartridges is leaking. i don't like it.

First off, thanks to everyone on this forum. After searching for good, unbiased e-cig reviews and information I (thankfully) stumbled across ECF. I've spent the last few days lurking and gathering as much information as I can.

Today I decided that my research had progressed to the point where I could make an informed decision on my first e-cig purchase.

About me - 37 years old and I've been smoking for the last 12 years - yeah... I know. Who starts smoking when they're 25? So far I'm the only person that I know of. I've smoked somewhere between a half-pack and a full-pack of Camel lights or Marlboro mediums for most of my smoking habit. I recently moved back to Washington state and have seen the cost of cigarettes skyrocket so I went with an 'Indian brand' - King Mountain lights - made by the Yakima tribe. They were $38 per carton which is pretty reasonable. Last Monday, however, they jumped up to $48 per carton.

My dad, a 2-pack-a-day Camel filter smoker for 50 years, recently purchased a Greensmoke e-cig kit after many failed attempts at quitting. He loves it. His wife loves it. He has an 'analog' (still getting used to the e-cig jargon) maybe once or twice a week. I figured if he can cut way back on 'analogs' using an e-cig then sure I can. That began my search for more information on e-cigarettes and ultimately I ended up here.

I'm a cheapskate so I always do a ton of research before purchasing anything. And I'm smart enough to realize that the 'cheapest' isn't always the best bargain. So I set out to find a highly regarded e-cigarette that was inexpensive. After hearing my dad complain about the batteries on the Greensmoke that became an important criteria for me. Also, I am a big puffer so I need that throat hit sensation. Replacement juice and other component costs are important as well. I'm on a computer all the time so the USB passthrough option is very intriguing as well.

So, armed with some basic knowledge and some basic requirements based on my habits & needs I pulled the trigger this afternoon.

I ended up going with CigEasy.com's 902 EASY MAX MANUAL STARTER KIT for $55.90 shipped.

Additional posts to this thread are forthcoming... hopefully I can get off the analogs for good.

Which KR808D-1 do you have? I've had absolutely no 'leaking' issues with my Cigeasy aside from my own overfilling of carts. Sounds like your problem is the carts and not the actual PV?

If you care to elaborate on your issues I'm sure someone here will be able to help you out.

Otherwise this seems like a total threadcrap...
