got my aga t+ in the mail yesterday. took me two hours all together to watch the youtube videos and put the whole setup together. my thumb joints ached like hell from rolling the wick. but glad to say, i dont think i can ever use anything else. everyone was right, genesis is just on a different level!

my question though is does anyone know what the specs of the wire and mesh that is included with the atty are? i get 2.2ohms with 4wraps. i dont know if thats an indicator of anything. i got the piece through myvaporstore. thanks!

I had my ZAU up and running in 5 mins lol. Doesn't hurt I've been a mechanic all my life and have tinkered with just about everything.

5mins? It takes longer than 5mins for me to oxidize the wick.

I also did my first tonight on my aga-t+. Had a friend did the first one for me. Took me about 30 mins. Wrapped 4 coils. Got 2.8ohms. Working good.

You are using Kanthal much thinner than 32ga or something else is wrong.

Make sure coil is fastened down tight if 32ga. If 32ga the Ω should be somewhere around 1.8.

Yeah, the coils are not tight. I'm not sure if its 32ga or not. It came with the aga-t+. Maybe I'll redo it again.

Hey Kensta ...

When I posted fastened down tight I meant the Kanthal coil wire to the bottom screw of the wickhole plate and to top nut of the positive post in the center of same plate. It's likely 32ga then if it came with the RBA, at least it's that on the AGA-T2s.

You can apply much what is delineated in this video to the AGA-T+ as well ---> Z-ATTY-PRO Rebuildable Atomizers For ProVari - YouTube

Here is a good one on the AGA-T ---> The AGA-T Set-Up and First Impressions

I love messing around with my week old T+, but I can't really vape it much yet. My coils all heat properly, my resistance is at 1.8, it wicks great, but it just tastes like metal. Heavier and tobacco flavors taste great on it, but I like very light flavors, and they all taste like metal. I'm hoping it's something I'll figure out, because like I said, I love fiddling with it, but if not, I suppose it will have to become my RY4 only tank

Dry hits.

Providing you don't have a hot spot between the top coil around the wick and the pos. post, then your wick is not taking up enough juice. Try tipping your PV for a few seconds before vaping to allow juice to come up. Also make sure enough clearance exists so air can enter the tank while juice is coming up usually done by leaving the fill hole screw out. Beyond that you may have to take a look at how you made your wick and ensure it's functioning as intended.

I guess it's possible that it's the wick, but I've made quite a few, with different tips from different videos, and they all seem the same on lighter juices. I've been vaping it at a 90 degree angle with my wick facing the ground, and it's still the same thing. No burnt taste, just tastes like metal. I started with 400ss, and moved up to 500ss, and it's all the same thing. I leave a little hole in the middle, and if I leave the PV tilted for more than 5 seconds I can see juice at the top of the wick, so it just doesn't seem dry. But now that I'm convinced my coil is as good as it's going to get, my wick is really the only thing I can start looking to improve. Sucks there's no way to see exactly what's wrong with it like how you can just poke a coil until it's all red :(

brownprobe, although I have not experienced the metal taste thing I have seen videos where they say if the coils are too tight on the wick you can get a metal taste. When I wrap my coils they are against the wick firmly but can be moved easily with a blunt needle to clear shorts. The Zen youtube video for genisis ss coil on stainless is great imo. I would try sliding your wick out (may have to hold the coils with your fingers so they don't distort) and rolling the wick a bit to make it a wee bit smaller so it slides in the coil still making contact. hope this helps.

I had the same problem, vaping it tilted up worked like a charm, I almost have to leave it tilted while I vape it.

I have had my AGA-T+ for 2 days I got it working properly after about 3 hours and figured out I have to tilt while vaping :D I won't ever go back to Cartos or Clearos ever again

My guess is 34 or 36 awg... I've tried to replicate my first coil and can't do it with 32awg.

The AGA T is a fog machine....aint it?!?!?

i also think its 34 guage. after searching im not convinced it can be anything thicker since 4 wraps should give me below 2 ohm? but yes ive never used anything that doles out this much vapor (then again ive only been using clearos and carts). whoever makes this should change its name to the aga mike tyson. cuz it hits HARD lol
