i ordered an aga t2 because i was interested in rba and i heard it was a good beginner one so i got it. i cant get the damn thing working and i want to throw it away. i have watched like a hundred youtube tutorials and i dont know what the hell i am doing wrong. im using ss mesh and 32 gauge wire. i keep getting a short circuit reading on my provari and if it does fire i get a hot spot on the top coil and the damn thing almost catches fire. everyone tells me rba are amazing but i just cant figure it out please help

The biggest thing I've noticed with the aga-t is making sure ur wick is sufficiently oxidized and not touching the bottom of the tank and also having a similar coil distance from your negative screw to wick as ur wick to positive post. Also make sure your coils are not too tight on your wick. It can be a pain with 32 ga bc the wire is so thin it snaps very easy... If possible I would suggest 28 or 30 ga on a mech. I'm currently using my aga t2 as I write this.

Keep fiddling. You will get it eventually. I used the drill bit method after 4 hours of failed attempts the first day I got it........worked great. Now I wrap it without a drill bit with 28 gauge wire and really get no hotspots now, and if I do I can work it out. Try the drill bit method, and oxidize your wick thoroughly. I use a propane torch and seems to have better luck than using a lighter :/.

Watchmyshoes where did you get the top knurled nut on your aga from ..OP try a thicker awg wire like Watchmyshoes posted ..The only way I got 32 to work on my aga was using it twisted ..I must have popped 50 coils in one day lol

It came in the spare parts for my Richman rba... I'm thinking about ordering another set of spare parts just to put on my other aga's because it makes attaching the wire to the post so much easier... I don't feel like going through the headache of trying to put a spring on it like I have seen others do to mimic the rsst
