I don't think you should do that, personally. Most places sell authentic Little Boy RDAs for over $100 and I just don't normally think there's much sense in spending that kind of money right off the bat until you know for sure you'll enjoy building. If you do enjoy building, it won't be your last RDA anyway. If you're asking about a clone instead, I wouldn't usually recommend a clone as a first RDA but I know others will disagree with that. I'm basing this post on the assumption that you're talking about an authentic, but you very well may not be and you can't respond either way. If you ARE looking at an authentic and simply have that kind of money to burn, more power to you. I'd still recommend getting something less high-end until you're more comfortable building.

If all you want is an answer to the question "is a Little Boy (or clone) OK for a beginner?" skip to bottom.

Anyway, there are a number of authentic RDAs that cost $50 or less and are totally fine choices for a first-time builder. Everyone has to ultimately make up their own minds about clones, imitations, and thinly-veiled "improvements" when buying RDAs. I just feel like a bad clone could make building really frustrating and unenjoyable for a newbie. Not everyone will love every authentic, but I believe with a bit of research, you'll have better luck on the whole with an authentic RDA as your first.

A bunch come to mind immediately: Twisted Messes ($50 at MyFreedomSmokes, 2.8mm post holes), Beyondvapes' Mako or Mako War (~$35 and $50, respectively, 2mm post holes), Mutation X V4 ($25-30, 2mm post holes), even something like the Wotofo Troll or Freakshow as long as you know if you're looking at dual-coil only. All of them are solid cloud-chasers. There are definitely others but I'm just trying to point out that it's entirely possible to get a totally solid authentic RDA for not too much money, I'd recommend any of those, and I just think it's not the worst idea to go that way for a first purchase. I'm sure some people would agree with me and others would not.

I'm not at all trying to be preachy about clones or spending a lot on a first RDA, whichever applies. You've got to do what works for you on both fronts. However, I've read some really unfortunate stories about clone RDAs, and this is all completely besides whether or not one finds clones to be intellectual theft, rip-offs, etc.. It's not as though nothing bad ever happens with authentics, I just think on the whole people have better luck with them and my point is simply that you don't have to pay a ton to get one unless you particularly want to.

Hopefully this helps in some way, whether it's you or someone else reading it. I can't really see any reason why a Little Boy or clone wouldn't be OK for a beginner, if that's all you're looking for. I haven't used one myself but it appears to have flexible options and a comfortably-sized deck. I'm not sure if it has any idiosyncrasies that would make it a bit difficult to use for someone unfamiliar with rebuildables, though. If you skipped here and change your mind, the rest of the post isn't going anywhere.

Good luck!

I'm going to switch from an aspire Atlantis to an RDA and I was thinking about getting a little boy RDA. Any thoughts on if this is a good one to start off with? The people at my vape shop said it has big post holes and they are gonna help me build my first one when I buy the ohms reader

pretty simple standard common 3-posts-in-a-row rda. nothing much spectacular;
it does have a chuff cap though; that's a plus; worth 10 bucks
