Well, I have some kanthal on the way from Lightning Vapes. In the mean time, I've decided to change out the wick on a protank head. I got a roll of 100% cotton gauze from CVS, cut a few inches off, boiled it, rinsed it, and dried it. I cut off a segment, split it in two, and twisted it tight. Chose the one that looked close in size to the coil. I threaded it in. Slight resistance going in, but not enough to deform the coil, the cotton is not bulging on either side of the coil. In fact, the coil was more disrupted by removing the stock silica wick. I straightened it out with a dental pick. Using the thinner bit of gauze as a "flavor wick." Now all I have to do is trim my wicks, which I'm going to leave a little long, to wick up juice at the bottom of the tank. After that, I'll pre-soak it in Boba's Bounty, and test it out. I'll let you know how my first wick is preforming a little later...

30 minutes into the cotton gauze wick: I decided that a top "flavor wick was restricting airflow too much. Just took it out. Still no gurgling. The extra tail replaces the need for extra wick on top of the coil, at least with 100% VG liquid.. The wick is vaping well with the 2.5ohm coil. II'll check back in after while and let you all know how the single wick is holding up.
