I love glass, so my two go-to mods since I started vaping have been a Provari with a Davide atomizer and glass drip tip for home vaping, and for the car/work, an eGo VV chrome battery with a Protank Mini. They both give a decent vape (although the portable set up is definitely inferior). Tonight I went out with a new friend from work. We stopped for a cocktail at True Foods, then did a little window shopping in Scottsdale at Keirland, for those who know the area. For no apparent reason (might have been the two cucumber mint citrus margaritas at True Foods), I dropped my gear as we were going into a store. Glass broke immediately of course and my lovely organic banana e-juice spilled on the pavement among the glass fragments. I played it off like it was no big deal, but I was definitely sad. :(

Driving home, the thought occurred to me to stop to buy cigarettes, but I fought it. I was like - no way. I'm never going back. I can wait till I get home. BOOM!

Love my vapage!

The protank mini is so awesome! I feel for you! :(

The base of my protank (not mini) broke off in my vamo threading. I was crushed because I'd only had it for a couple months. I eventually figured out how to fix it and replaced the base on my protank.

I hear the mini protank 2 is on its way?

I think I will wait for the Mini2 because I really like being able to put a drip tip of my choice on the tank (the metallic built-in tip definitely makes me taste metal). Obv it's a great little tank even with the built-in tip. Luckily I only paid about $13 for it.

Congrats on staying strong! My first rba was a Z-Atty Pro. Loved the glass tank for a couple months, but because it has to stand or it'll leak, it kept getting knocked over. Got lucky several times, but it finally broke. Got turned on to ibtanked.com, bought a new tank that lasted about a week. I then bought another tank which lasted less than 24hrs! I finally bought the steel tank...

Yeah, it's a weird taste issue where some people's tastebuds or chemistry react to metal (metallic taste) and others don't (metal is absolutely neutral.) Being the latter sort, I personally prefer metal because plastic tastes relatively weird to me.

Glass tastes the best - always. Because it doesn't taste like anything. Glass drip tips are the bomb.

Took my PT off the safety last Monday week and it promptly shattered... Had to get a no-glue update while I wait for my PT 2.
Had some old used carts but they really suc*ed after tanking it. Couldn't take it.
Totally. Trying to go back and vape with cheap little CE4s after Protanking it is just so nasty.

Sorry for your loss. I've had two Protank explosions. On the second, I recovered the pieces as the tops can be replaced easily and inexpensively. I've seen the tops as low as $1.00, though, as their popularity has increased, that's risen now several times and several dollars. You can get the Davide in a mini now as well, and it may be a superior vape. Didn't check exhaustively, but ran across this one:

Mini Davide Glassomizer

I love glass, refuse to change, and am prepared to replace what gets broken. That being said, I would never leave the house for more than 10 minutes without my Zombie Apocalypse Go-Bag. Just the way I roll! All better now?

Yay! Davide mini - perfect solution. THANK YOU! (I will not give up glass, period.) The link you provided requires a minimum order of 6 though... know anywhere else where this can be purchased?

Also, tell me more about the Zombie!
