Wow, Blondambition, thanks so much for the awesome explanation and the links. I'm always about trying new stuff! A month ago, I couldn't see this all happening....ha ha!
Ahhh for the love of a hobby. I will post back here after my first try:)

Cheers!! :)

Oh! mustn't forget this tip..... When you get that Phoenix rba all set up on your Sub 2.0.... set it at 4.0 and watch vaping Nirvana happen! ;)

I have been eyeing this mod for a bit....saw this post and guess what I have now!? I too went for the bronze. Seemed a bit steampunk to me;-) I have to say.....I really dig it and love the v-core too! Thanks for making this post:) I'm pretty darned pleased....

And yes the goodbye message is a real hoot!

I decided to rebuild my V-Core using the cotton wicking ... Here's the only YouTube VID I could find that shows how you can rebuild the wick & coil on your V-Core (even though he's rebuilding the wick & coil on a Vivi Nova 2.5 )...

* It's not as 'tricky' as you think ;)

* I also use only ONE 1mm strand of cotton wicking and to me it works every bit as well (in fact better) than using the 4 strands of 1mm Silica wicking that's supplied with the V-Core.... just my :2c:

:smokie:

Hope this helps!

Okay it is Gun Metal for me. What really got me was the telescoping. Like my Bolt and have some extra batteries until I figured out it was the charger giving me problems. Will report back my experiences.

Been about 2 weeks working with the GS Sub 2.0 and I like it. First VV for me mostly due to the telescoping which works very well. I'll have to stay with VV now that I've experienced it. Just don't overtighten the battery plug on this as it is hell to get apart if you do. Lightly tighten it and let the telescoping finish the tightening for you. I use the Boge 2.0 and when it is new start out at 4.0 volts - like having a fresh battery all day. As the carto ages I bump the voltage to 4.2 to keep that sizzle and on the carto's last legs bump it to 4.4. Higher voltages and I get hot liquid on the draw. The 2 cartos I've used on this have doubled their usable life from 3-4 days to 7-8 days. BTW - It is sometimes hard to gauge someone's use of a carto so let me say I use the same carto all day every day and do not change when I use a different flavor. Since I go through about 4-5 ml a day this makes me happy and I hit the carto hard on each draw. I can vape at my desk at work in an open cubbie environment and my co-workers kid me as they can tell how my day is going by the vapor clouds.

I use 18500 batteries, the same as my Bolt, and battery life has surprised me. Occasionally when I am at 4.4 volts I'll have to change the battery late in the evening but I carry a spare anyways in case the battery did not fully charge as the charger may indicate. I'm sure if I used an 18650 battery I would not have this issue.

The only down side I've has trouble with is the fire button. You have to hit it square right in the middle of the button. Also during the last few days, the unit will shut off for some reason when I try to take a hit. I'm trying to verify why this may be happening and suspicion it may be I'm not hitting the fire button square. This concerns me as I'm doubting the button service life. I can turn it back on and it acts like nothing happened. Just an annoyance right now.

Now, the V-Core 2.0 tank. It is built very well in my opinion, no leaks, but it is very heavy even empty. I also have the same trouble I have with all other tanks except the carto tanks... dry hits. None of these style tanks seem to be able to keep up with me as I'm a very hard hitting puffer. If I let it sit a few minutes it will siphon up the juice and I can get another flavorful hit. But on the 2nd hit it will be dry again.

My conclusions are the unit is very good especially for the price because it includes the tank. Only concern is the fire button. I could care less about many of it's other features as I just change battery and set the voltage. This unit has taught me the joys of VV and I'll definitely have to stay with VV in the future. If you are a light hitter you will probably like the tank. I'll give my tank to a friend and he will enjoy it - no biggie for me. Recommend to a friend? Yes but will explain my experiences about the issues I'm having with fire button - could just be me after all.

Now that I've had it a couple weeks I can say that I give the SUB a B grade. I like the plastic cause it looks good and it's light weight. BUT oh man, the FIRE button is finicky. Sometimes it works sometimes not. Sometimes it shuts off. What to do bout this. It is an annoyance.

I just ordered a gs sub 2.0 last night cause i really like the idea of it being lightweight and a telescope vv. It should be here next week so i'll give my opinion on it as well. I think the black one looks awesome but they only had the gunmetal so thats what i ordered. Thanks for your review. I hope I dont have the fire button issue.

I have this device. I purchased it because I wanted a smaller 6v mod. It is what I thought it would be, BUT, the FIRE button, sheesh! It just doesn't fire everytime, and it flat out self resets. Every 20 puffs or so you have to 5 click it.
I'm sitting here reading threads and the tele is on in the background and yikes, all the Bostonian accents ugh! Im sorry but, GOD bless beantown but as a Yankee fan...wicked

I would be contacting the 'Seller' about replacing this obviously defective unit if I were you.......

I had to retire my g-sub. Same issue. Sometimes it fires sometimes it doesn't. Usually it doesn't. I've stopped dealing with the seller because they don't respond to emails. I've sent multiple people their way and they never got responses either. Sucks when you try and help someone out with business and they don't respond to questions. I won't send anyone else their way.

So far, this thing is a lemon. So I will squeeze it then move on. Its to bad - all they have to do is respond to me. I realize mechanical things can be faulty. They have other things and a couple of descent juices on their site, but to not respond is the worse thing someone in retail can do. When the sub works - it fine, but I never know when its gonna go on the fritz. There's so many other vendors that appreciate their customers, no gonna waste time and money on these guys/gals. 2 thumbs down.

Just thought i'd give an update. I recently received my gs sub 2.0 and like others, i have the same fire button issues. i really like the mod i just wish it didnt have this issue. it's lightweight, vapes great and its a telescope with variable volt. I also received my Gripper V8 which is also a great little mod. No problems and it vapes great. I only paid 20 bucks and you will definitely need an ego or 510 adapter if you use tanks. I bought both direct from China so we'll see how they'll handle the return of the gs sub. I'm not holding my breath. What sucks is i bought some 18500's specifically for it and if they offer a different mod as a replacement, nothing else i own uses those batts. So far, nothing i've owned beats my Vamo VV's, It's rock solid. That with a boge f16 tank and a 3ohm carto and its bulletproof.

I'm really liking the SUB in 18350 mode with a Protank on top. Seems perfectly balanced. Now I need to get a chrome SUB or gunmetal protanks.

I use my Vamos to check the ohms but my SUB for vaping.

I have experienced the fire button not working, and also on the Vamo, I think I was not pressing hard enough.

Fasttech has the GS SUB 2.0 full kit for $42.49.
