This is my first mod. It has the SX350 chip upgraded to 50W, spring loaded 510 connector, dual 18650 batteries. I call it The Road Warrior v1 as it was built 100% in my big rig truck.

Very impressive and unique mod, I've never seen an atty cage like that before. Your shop is likely more spacious than my working area in the kitchen, and I have to do the dishes before I can mod, you just have to park. :)

I see the drill press on the right, do you make cuts outside?

Nice one. Definitely original... Never seen any box mod that looks like that. I've been reading up on box modding since I plan on making one (and more if it goes well) myself. The first one is gonna be aluminum box, but I really wanna make a wood box mod as well.

I'm sure I don't have the tools to make my own wooden box, but I have started my search for wood box makers to see kinda how it's done (since I have no idea) so I can see if I could even get by with knowledge and using a buddy's shop tools.

Just did a search on the site for wooden box mod and this page was one of the ones that popped up.

If I may ask what is the design with the 510 being encased like that? Is it a functionality or simply aesthetic?

Though I don't know the intent, as a person who has dropped too many mods and bent/broke a few parts, it seems like an atty roll cage so to speak. A good idea. I also think this is why the P3 connection will become popular in the long run. After all, a big atty with a little threaded connection is just asking for issues.
