Thanks Hazy, I'm not riled. I'm trying to work out a solution that works for everyone - and it's not easy considering the fact that we have to balance between peoples' legitimate interests. We're not covering for suppliers, but trying to create a fair system.

Sorry you couldn't respond to my PM/email - it's a bit annoying because full PMing permissions only start once members are out of the "spam trap"!

And, I reiterate for your edification: My OP Was not a negative review, *that* is my issue and the basis of my present endeavor; To find what is acceptable and where it's written down so that I can be "acceptable".

For your further edification, I've been using computers and the internet since 1980. I've had the netnanny cop experience.
I just didn't think it would be applicable to my question(s), especially here.

Since your conversation has so far been primarily with 2 moderators AND the forum founder, perhaps you'd like some feedback from a regular user.

ECF is a HUGE forum that is extroardinarily well-maintained IMHO. There's no spam, no pissing contests, no name-calling, just high-quality technical discussions and friendly discussions. The mods work very hard to maintain this site to the high standards they have set out for it. And in doing so, they are allowed to use their own judgement. Unilaterally.

It's Smokey Joe's site. It's not a federally-funded program that you have a right to participate in, it's a resource provided by Joe, which you are invited to participate in if you wish, but are free to not participate in if you don't like the rules. Smokey Joe's site, Smokey Joe's rules. They work very well, and the thousands of members here do, in general, follow the rules (and accept the consequences when they step over the line, even if it's accidental or a matter of opinion).

Welcome to ECF. Go re-post your issue in "Negative reviews". Be cool, be nice!

I've been reading here for over a year and know it's a private forum with private rules.
I've not "urinated" on anybody nor called anybody "names"
I don't need to post any negative reviews and did not in the first place. I asked a friendly question which was labeled a negative review by an overzealous
mod. and deleted.

Hazy, try picturing this forum as one BIG SPRAWLING information highway.

The only way to keep traffic moving (at the right speed, in the right direction, safely, etc.) is to have some simple rules. We may not all agree with them BUT to not have some rules the net result would be chaos, gridlock, etc.

The UNPAID moderators manage all of this (day in an day out) with style, class and a sense of humor! Hopefully you will come to appreciate this as you get more involved.

It is not acceptable to complain about moderators.
At risk of getting in trouble again..I will post the link recieved from ECF support for your perusal and edification.
I sincerely believe this new member's section is an appropriate place in which to post this.

Yes, Robin. As I stated on my (deleted) OP, FT eventually got their "glitch" worked out and I was able to apply the $9.65
credit toward the purchase of a VAMO7 40 watt doo-dah and a carrying sleeve for one of my Vision Spinner IIs (the one I carry while I work)

Its a moot point now, but the mods are pretty strict on that stuff...too strict even at times. Personally, I think this formum makes sense in here. People ask questions about vendors all the time, and why yours got flagged is beyond me.The mods can be weird at times, but I just keep my nose clean here and leave the .... talking to the car forums.
