my fix for poor battery to atomizer connection

I have 3 atomizers and 3 batteries. All of a sudden no vapor. I switched and swapped but to no avail. I knew the batteries worked and I knew the atomizers still worked since I hooked them up to a 2x AAA box and they heated well. Must be poor connection to batteries so I got out the soldering iron and put a tiny drop of solder on the ring inside the atomizer. two of the three are vaping like gangbusters now, 3rd still needs work but it is better than it was.

Just remember, the soldering iron gets really hot so dont hold it on
to long or it could burn up the atomizer.

No need for that. The inner contact ring is held by urethane. they sometimes slip down, and away from making contact. A tiny hook, such as a pushpin with the end curled over will work. You insert the hook end in the center hole, and gently rotate as you pull up. Be careful not to pull it out. Pulling it up slightly will raise it enough to to make contact again.

Both suggestions above are spot on. If using the solder method, use a very hot iron to flow the solder quickly. Sustained heat from the iron can damage the insulator around the center connector and short out your atomizer.

I tried pulling it up but it didnt work. I wasnt rotating while turning though so that was probably the problem.

Just Use A Heat Trap / Sink ie alligator clips to help take the heat away when you solder.

Be sure you only rotate the hook, not the atomizer contact. If you twist the contact, you could break the wire connecting it to the coil. I usually use a small screwdriver or even a paper clip and just pry around the outside edge of the contact a little. Don't pull or pry too hard, you might pull the contact completely out! You don't have to move it much to get it working again.

Thanks for the info. This not only happened to all my 4 of my attys but my SIL (2) who also has m401/m402 but from a different supplier. I cant even try your tip now because all but 1 of my attys are dead. I have more on order but they arent here yet. I have also ordered the dse901 but it isnt here yet either. Having some buyers remorse now because I am thinking I should have bought a titan 510 due to the small cart size of the 901.
I love vaping when it works but I am having to many problems. If the 901 doesnt do well I am going to cry.

Perhaps this is why my brand new DSE801 Titanium (2 days old) from Parked suddenly stopped working completely just after changing the battery. I wonder if I over-tightened the battery and accidentally pushed that center contact down. I'll try pulling it up a bit when I get home from work tonight and maybe I'll be saving myself some aggravation. I was really enjoying the vapor production of that thing until it quit all of a sudden.8-o

Yes, Never Over Tighten It! U Pushed The Center Post In! When U Go Home Get A Paper Clip and Carefully Pry The Center Post Up (less then a hair!), It Will Not look Like It Worked But It Does. The Center Post Is In A Silicone O-Ring So The Post Will Post.

There Should Be A Warning Never Over Tighten, Just Make Contact!

Ok well I have a problem with 2 of my batteries too and was wondering if any of you could help? I have a 901 and when I have these 2 batteries atached to the atomizer the coil automatically heats up and will just get hotter and hotter till I unscrew it. Like I said just those 2 batteries my other 2 work fine. Any way to fix that??

Yes, You Can Try To Remove The Atoms, Put Your Batts On A Papertowel, Threaded Side Down (on the papertowel) and have them sitting straight up for a day to a few days. If you see that the papertowel is wet, u know theres juice there...

There a lot of threads on this. What happen is that you got juice into the switches and they stuck...

Screwing Too Hard On The Battery Charger Is The Usually The Issue, The Charger Is Very Easy Too Overtighten. The Atom to Battery is a lesser issue but care should be used.

Yeah!.... now that's my area of expertise.... though have not used it to fix any e-cigs yet... though I do use my Swiss Army Knife to pry off the ends to refill them.

My battery charges and lights up in the charger but won't do anything while connected to a cartomizer.
