my thoughts on types and design..

pipe.. good old fashioned device.. lots of smoke very good battery life.. should come with a cheap plug in replaceable atomizer.. sadly it dosnt..

cigarillo.. should make the perfect cheap throw away device.. there is nothing there that dosnt need to be there.. nice shape and nice to handle.. discrete cos the end dosnt light up..

cigar... same as the cigarillo except the shape isnt quite so nice and its not so discrete..

pen style or classic.. an attempt at sophistication.. in short it should not work any differently than the cigar or cigarillo simply cost more..

first mini.. the 901.. neat and an improvement on the classic.. except the cart costs twice as much.. but it is vaguely cigarette shaped and works well..

later minies.. they all get smaller and the carts get smaller.. not a good trend...

ps.. my desired e device.. large battery.. cheap easy to replace atomizers.. cheap easy to replace carts.. it can be assumes all these thing should work when new.. there is no valid reason they shouldnt..

there i also no valid reason they should cost more than 40 dollars or 20 quid when new..

I also like the cigarillo and yes it would be wonderful if they were cheap easy to replace atomizers & carts and that they all worked. I think $40.00 per unit would be great - I wonder if it will ever get to that price.

the cigarillo is a perfect design example.. nothing wasted.. its simply a stainless steel tube slightly tapered towards one end.. its nice to hold and fondle.. its uses 2 dollar batteries.. in short it has everything going for it as a cheap throw away after a couple of week device..

sadly the examples i have tried have atomizer units with a poor life span.. this could be easily fixed and if they only lasted two week i would be happy..

when new the 2 dollar batteries last 5 hours by the way.. longer than all of the way over priced proprietory types..

ps... the cigarillo can be considered one big throw away atomizer if sold at the right price..

if e cig do come back to life and survive the olympic shut down the trick it seems is to collect a bunch of failed atomizers.. send them back with a note.. e cig will then ship out free replacements with your next order.. providing the order is the equivalent of fifty carts they will do this for ever..

i havnt tried this but one other forum member (at least) does it this way..

trog

ps.. even if they only give nice results for four days i would be happy with free ones for ever.. he he he
