Wait till you start using it :). The fit and finish are superb, but the real joy of having it is how it works.

I've only been a reo user for just over 3 months (before it was eGo's and such) and since my first vape on my first reo I've never looked back - or at any other pv out there. Having reo's has really saved me so much money because I don't have any interest in anything no matter how great the newest technologies and innovations come out there will be nothing, and I mean NOTHING that will keep me as happy and worry free as my reo's. And there is the plus that the man who makes them fully stands behind every mod he makes.

Enjoy your grand and welcome to reoville :)

Well-said! The only thing I've bought since I got my first Mini back in September of last year is more REO's - I have had no interest in any other PV's since. I've been working on rebuilding my deck this summer, and it sure is nice to just be able to rinse the sawdust out of the workhorse Mini without worrying about delicate electronics, etc. It never skips a beat.

I just loaded up the grand with RY4, Cisco 1.5ohm 510 atty and a AW IMR battery. I think I flooded the atty on my first try cause I got juice in my mouth right away, lol. Its going to take some time to get used to it I guess. And I keep getting a burnt taste every 2 puffs, not sure why. Is 1.5ohm too much for RY4? Or maybe Im not used to it. Been using a eGo-T Type B with LR atty till now.

Agreed pianoguy. The first time my mini was in need of a "bath" I was so scared of running it under water. It just didn't seem logical that something that works with a battery can have water going through it (after taking the battery out of course). Now I don't even blink an eye when its time for a cleaning. I can't remember the people's names who had some harrowing stories. One lost their's in a park field and found it a few days later after it rained - and the reo still worked. Another accidentally dropped it in the beer cooler at a house party and found it the day after when the ice all melted - and the reo still worked.

I'm a carto girl so I can't help on the proper atty squonking technique mv2envy, but soon enough you'll have some reo vets chime in and they'll help you out :)

Thanks Lori. In the mean time, here is some Reo porn

And here is one next to my new dual 18650 (2900mah) VV (OKR-T switching regulator) mod that I just finished building like 10 minutes ago.

Here is one of the inside of my VV mod. Its adjusts from 3.7 to 6.5 volts, has an external voltage display on the bottom and an external voltage adjustment. Did I mention dual 18650 AW 2900mah batts? :D

I've never tried RY4, but if I remember correctly its kinda sweet....I vape mostly sweet juices and have found that the 1.5Ω are too hot with my juices. I use mostly 2.0Ω. Also, flooding the atties can cause a burnt taste too. You can take the atty off, blow it out, put it back on and vape a couple drags. If that helps, then gently press the bottle while drawing on the drip tip (not pushing the button)...just a short, quick draw...like a kiss. Then vape for another 5 or 6 drags. It helped me to count my drags while I was getting my technique down. Now its second nature to know when to re-juice the atomizer.

It either tastes burnt, or I get juice in my mouth. I dont know what Im doing wrong.

I see you are not using a drip tip. Those tips that come with the 510 will put juice in your mouth every time. If you look inside you will see channels for the air flow. Those go down so far the juice comes right up.
Use a drip tip instead and you will not have that problem.
Also when using a drip tip you can actually regulate your squonking better and keep more juice in the atty so you don't have the burnt taste.

I agree with Karen. Pull the atty off and blow it out well. Put on a drip tip.

Now, first try just dripping on your atty. Drip 3 or 4 drops on to the atty and take a couple of hits. If it is not doing well or is tasting burnt, you may need to clean the atty, or it just may be too hot for that juice. If it is doing OK, take 5-7 hits and squonk.

When you first squonk (especially with a 510), it is really easy to just press the bottle lightly and watch the little holes in your overflow well. Squonk only until you just begin to see a glisten of juice in the holes. When you release the bottle, it should disappear. You can then give it a short, unpowered hit to spread the juice through the atty. That should do it for 5-10 hits until you need to repeat.

Guys, that is a drip tip on the grand. Its an aluminum flat type drip tip. I think Im going to get a delrin drip tip though, aluminum gets very hot. And I realized what I was doing wrong. I was draging on it like a eGo-T. Long and hard drags, lol. Thats why I was getting juice my mouth. Now I drag softly for a much shorter time and the flavor and vapor are insane! Im in love!!!!!! But Im using a 510T tank as a drip tip for the time being, it has channels that block juice from going into my mouth till I get a proper delrin drip tip. Im open to suggestions on which drip tip to get. I would like something at least an inch long.

Drip tips can be purchased at most vendors. I love the delrin tips. I have also tried some of the XL tips and they are nice. You might want to pick up a few different types. I recently bought a rubber tip here: Drip Tip drip tips They are very comfortable. I love the pawn tips sold there also. Guess by now you know, I am a drip tip shopper!!! Love to dress up my REO's!

Another option are the Cisco LR306 2 ohm's with a long drip tip. Avid has a special on their site, can be found here. Just make sure you go with the XL delrin tip, and you'll never get juice in your mouth.

I thought I loved my REO with LR510's, but once I got a few of these to try, it was a whole other world opening up :vapor:

I can't speak for the Cisco's being better though some swear by them. But I do love the LR306 in general. They seem to give even more flavor and a good amount of vapor. There just is that difference. You do have to learn to keep them a little wetter. But does not take to long to make a habit of it.
Why is the cisco 306 better than the 510? How does it differ?

I have been using my grand non stop, I love this thing. Ive learned to feed it just right and drag on it in a way that I dont get juice in my mouth. Great PV!!!! money well spent!
