I was over my grandmothers for thanksgiving and pulled out one of my ecigs to show her how I quit.. Told her she should get one.. Very stubborn woman, been smoking her whole life (she's 84).. Well she called me this morning and asked where to get on so I told her to start with a cheap one from Walgreens but I know she is going to want a better one so looks like Ill be ordering her a V2 or something with flavored carts soon... I saved another!

well done, eagle green. imo, dont be shy on coaching her through it. id imagine the learning cure is a bit more steep for our elderly friends.

If and when I order her a good online unit what should I get her? I think something with prefilled cartos would be the easiest but I was thinking something with a tank so she can add her own flavors.. I would need something real easy to use she is 84. Any ideas?

I would say inferno? I think from volcano their prefilled Cardos come in ever flavor they make but don't hold me to that. My thinking is that with the prefilled and a tank it would take the whole learning how to prime the carto just pop in fill the tank when low charge when dead.

That's great!! For a cig-alike, I prefer V4L (Vapor4Life) Titan Diamond series. Nice strong batteries that are prettier and work better than V2's IMO. They also sell prefilled cartos, but I'd get her some good juice samples, too. It's very easy to refill a carto. I would probably just go that route for now and not get a tank yet. See how she likes an ecig and let her adjust to the simplest first. Hope she loves it!!!

for atomizing, prefilled cartos all the way. either that, or fill them up for her. a mini nova would even work well, but again, fill it up for her IMO.

At 84 she has been smoking a long time! Most of the more mature folks I have talked to say the same thing - the size/weight of the e cig kind of throws them off. Maybe a V2 or something in that smaller range would be a good idea. An ego or something like that maybe a bit much, but hey I may be wrong.

Good for you and her. I too think a cig style might be a better bet. check out bloog - they have a starter set of 2 automatic batteries, pcc (personal charging case) and 5 cartos for 50.00. Thats supper cheap and its similar to what is offered at V4Life and Smokeless image. I am using one right now and its working well for me. Honestly though - at 84 she is doing just fine if keeps smoking. I am not saying she cant live to a 100 or more, rather I am saying that at this point she will live as long as she lives regardless of what she does now. So dont be discouraged if she does not take to vaping. Its really no big deal. Just keep loving her.

Save your money and don't order from v2 there is way cheaper and better stuff out there. I started with v2 a year and a half ago and wasted a crap load of money. Look into a redds kit and some juice for her. You'll prob save about $40

Same here with my family over Thanksgiving. My family members have known about my e-cigarettes since I started several months ago. They were impressed that I have been smoke-free during this entire time. My sister-in-law and her sister-in-law spent about 2 hours with me on the computer as I showed them websites that they "favorited" for future look-up.

I was going to recommend eGo type batteries, but they said, "No, we want what you have." So one wants a Provari Mini and the other is interested in either the Altsmoke BB or Silver Bullet. They both are interested in cartotanks, too. I said that this is a lot to learn and showed them this website and how to navigate around to find information and ask questions.
