After a week I have some thoughts on these things.

Yes, they leak but I can handle that. I know why mine leak - I removed the inner grommet and just put the smaller outer grommet in it's place to make it easier to fill and wick better with a drip tip on top. I have since learmed the small grommet does not do such a good job at keeping the e-juice out so instead, I use the inner grommet but I turn it upside down and do away with the small outer grommet. Now it wicks just as well as the other modification and doesn't leak as much because of the thick inner grommet walls do a better job stopping the leaks.

You have to be very careful not to knock them around too much. These things are very delicate. I have broken the wires on one just taking the clear tube off.. seems the inner grommet was stuck to the tube and pulled on the wire.

Another one I had dropped a few times and this caused the center tube to come disconnected from the bottom part.

One I had been using for several days always hit great but I started getting burned taste. I rinsed it out under water and gave it a small dry burn, refilled and this seemed to fix the burned taste.

I'm using the 2.8/3.0 ohm regular CE2 on a 5 volt passthrough. So far they always hit great, I just have to keep them upright and be careful with them. I wish they made one with a thicker coil, heavier wires that were soldered better, the inner tube wielded on better and a better grommet method to stop leaks better. Overall though they have better taste than cartridges or filler type cartos have loads of flavor and clouds of vapor.

I will buy these again if I can get one to last at least 3 weeks. Only thing I like just as well is a 306 atty for dripping.

My experience on CE-2s was a lot like yours.

Bought some.

Loved the vapor, and the flavor.

They started leaking.

Tubes started breaking.

Got frustrated with how delicate they are.

Stopped using them.

And then- found some 3ml BD syringes. (Get'em from FSUSA, or a number of other places. Probably your local pharmacy.)

These are exactly the right diameter to replace the CE-2 tubes. Just cut the middle portion of the syringe to the right length, throw away the regular tube, and put the innards of the CE-2 in the syringe piece. (If you care about looks, scrub the numbers of the outside of the syringe with a kitchen sponge first.) Add a drip tip if you like, and you're ready to go.

I've only done this to one CE-2 so far, but that was about 3 weeks ago, and it doesn't leak, it doesn't crack, it doesn't have trouble wicking, and it doesn't fall apart. It's not the only thing I vape, but I've vaped it for at least a while, every day. Still going great, and when/if it eventually dies, I'll put another one in the same tube.

Highly recommend.
