Hello Guin and Welcome. I have Googled this, and apparently this mod sometimes does not recognize certain makes off batteries. So if you have another make of battery, try them and see what happens. Also mentioned is the mod being in stealth mode. Good luck.

If it's not turning on at all you could try a hard reset:
-turn mod upside down (with batteries in it)
-open battery door
-press both +/- buttons and hold
-close battery door
-release buttons when you see stuff on screen

Welcome and glad you joined.
From what I have read,the vast majority of Smok products are reliable, sounds like you may have one that has died. Certainly try new batteries (please see battery information before you buy).
Could contact:
local B&M Vape Shop (Visit) -----Might be simple.
Vendor who sold it ---see if they will repair or replace or advise (any authorized distributor).
Manufacturer contact ---see if they will repair or replace or advise.
