I fitted my Boreas V2 with dual core clapton coils. SS 316L 26g/32g at 0.12 ohms. I have the Polar set to 70W at 210°C. I wanted to bring that tank as close to the mesh Cascade tank. It’s quite big improvement!

I’ve never used the fancy wires other than making twisted, so I decided to try making clapton wire and the first try came out very servicable. There’s a small imbalance between the coils, but not enough to hurt it.

The left one looks much tidier but I must say I'm impressed, that must take ages by hand!

Thanks. Those coils were a bit much on power and battery draining so I wound some smaller ones that came out much better. You have to use a drill to wind the wire together. The tedious part is holding the tension and wire angle just right.

Well I settled on single core 26-32 clapton wire as working best for my Boreas and Troll at 0.21 ohm in TC mode. I really can’t refine that delta point down more than that. It totally blows away the twisted coils I’ve made forever. While listening to a murder mystery I spun off about 4 feet to have on hand with my Makita. Made my hands cramped too.
