Ok....I just can't get this all figured out.....please help me. I started vaping on Saturday (4/4). I'm using the Vapor 1000. I loved it! I put the analogs down and have exclusively been vaping. By Monday my blood pressure had gone up considerably and I've had a monster headache. I've been topping off my cart with medium juice that I bought from the same place. I've figured out that I am consuming much too much nicotine which is causing the rise in bp and headache. I don't feel as though I'm abusing my pv by smoking too much. I want to be able to smoke it the same way I smoked analogs. When my daughter sits at the kitchen table with me and she smokes her analogs....I want to be able to puff away on my pv. After my meals I want to smoke my pv like I did my analogs. How can I use my pv the way that I want to with out taking in too much nicotine? I know about cutting it with something...I watched a video about it but I'm afraid I'll get the wrong stuff and mess it up. I know I sound like a ...........I'm really not. Can someone please explain what I need to do to stop the rise in bp and this stinkin headache. Should I stop vaping? Thanks everyone in advance for your help!

You need to step down in nicotine dosage. You're ODing, most likely. I was like that the first day or so. I was using too high a dosage of nicotine.

The worst part of getting used to using PVs is that there is no "end" like cigarettes. It's hard to gauge off-the-bat, and it often leads to having a bit too much nicotine in your system.

I would step back to low nicotine carts, and only use the mediums when you really get a craving.

you're nuts. You really need to cut down big time until you either get lower nicotine juice or some propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin to cut your existing juice with.

i encourage all new vapers to start low, very low... because it's hard to put your vaporizer down. In my case, even 6mg is too high so i mix it 50/50 with propylene glycol. This allows me to vape to my heart's content and get the right amount of nicotine.

If you're afraid of messing up cutting your juice than try ordering the low nic juice of your liking or even try the 0mg juice. Your headaches and bp rtise could also be from the type of glycerine used in the juice, if you find out it is PG(propolyne glyconoll) then try and find juice made with VG(vegetable glyconol)that may help if not then I guess you will have to cut back on how much you vape.If you do try to cut your juice just follow the video or check out the DIY section of the forum and you should be ok

When I started vaping I knew next to nothing. Charged the battery and went at it. I had a wicked headache the first day or two. I didn't like the taste at all. Tasted like a familiar dental chemical. Later realized it was probably from whatever they put on the atomizers after manufacture. Ever since I will clean a new one before using. No more headaches.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post...even the ones that weren't very kind. My blood pressure is still very high so I decided to stop vaping until I can get the pg to cut my juice. I'm disappointed that I started back on analogs tonight. I've been smoking for 37 years and I have never gone 4 days without an analog before. I want this to work in the worst way so once I get the pg I'll start all over again. Thanks again to everyone...oh and Catanonia your e-cigs conversion post was awesome!

Bless your heart. I do feel for you. I was a 2+ pack a day smoker for 30 years, and I simply assumed I would need a high nicotine concentration. Wicked headaches and nausea resulted. I cut back to medium, and it was the difference between night and day.

Yes, order some low nicotine liquids. If you decide to cut your medium nicotine concentration, hold some of it back at full strength. You may find yourself doing fine with low nicotine but then get a serious craving for an analog. At times like that, it's nice to be able to spike your cartridge with a couple of drops of something higher than the low nic. Many of us find that it calms the urge, especially in the early days of vaping.

And please don't get too upset about picking up the analogs again. As soon as you get a more appropriate nicotine concentration, you'll be right back to vaping.

Someone said it earlier. A cigarette tells you when your done. A personal vaporizer does not. Not till it's too late anyways. Think about this logically. If your getting too much nicotine, STOP puffing so much! Running back to analogs only punishes yourself. It's not the product. It's you. Now try again with a little disipline will ya?

Thanks ChainSmkr....I definitely am aware of my blood pressure spikes. It causes severe headaches. I'm still shocked that my 11mg nic juice was enough to cause it to go so high. I'll be much more aware now that I realize this!
JustJulie...thank you for your kind words! Today I went to my pharmacy and ordered propylene glycol. It will be in tomorrow afternoon. I'm excited to give this another try......this time I am convinced that I will never smoke another analog. My daughter and husband have been a great source of support and my biggest cheerleaders. I have tried every method under the sun to quit smoking analogs and this is as close as I've ever gotten. I just know this is going to work. Thanks once again...I so appreciate your responses.

Sharon, I'm glad you've got a better path ahead. Good luck! :)

Skyrocketing blood pressure is so unlikely to be cessation that the suggestion might as well not exist in our forum world - let medical doctors figure that one out.

When folks have obvious symptoms of too much nic (or PG allergy) it's dangerous to tell them it's from analog cessation. The implication then is they should redouble their vaping efforts, which have already made them sick, so they don't fall back to analogs, which worked fine.

It's better to have someone fall back to analogs until the problem has been sorted than to promote an injury from vaping. After 10 or 20 or 30 years, another day of analogs is meaningless.

JMO, as always.
