My husband had to go to a doctors appointment yesterday and he brought his PV into the office with him. During his check up he and the doctor got to talking about the PV. The doctor was extremely proud of him for taking the initiative to quit smoking, and even asked him to demonstrate how it worked! He did not give my husband any lectures about the components in the ejuice, and was impressed that in 3 weeks he has completely removed cigarettes from his daily intake.

Later that night, i wanted to run up to CVS or walgreens to try and find some VG to cut down strengths of the juices we had bought (24mg is to strong for me). In CVS they were very ignorant :(. Hubby asked the pharmacist about PG and if they carried it. The first words out of his mouth were.."That stuffs in antifreeze." Yea, along with a lot of BRAND NAME beauty products. I should have said that to him but blah i'm still to shy. Basically this man was a kid, looked no older then 20 and was ill in formed and refused to help us. OH well. We went over to walgreens and the pharmacist there was actually very helpful tho she could not sell us the PG due to liabilty issues she did not react to us asking for is as if we were asking for rat poison. She did have some Lorann's Oils on hand and some HUMCO gylicerine. Even said they could order more Lorann's flavors for me so yay, gonna make that my flavor supplier i think. She was very helpful and supportive of our decision to quit! Awesome day.

So far my husband and I have been completely analog free for a whole week. 3 weeks vaping.

Awesome news! The first time I tried to buy VG, the pharmacist had to show me where it was. It was in the skin care section. Now I buy it and PG from MyFreedomSmokes along with my nicotine solution. VG is easiest to find at hobby stores. It's usually in the cake baking/candy making section. Just make sure it's USP.

Best of luck to you both and congrats!

Just correct them, tell them NO, PG isn't in antifreeze, that they are thinking of ethylene glycol, not propylene glycol. Tell them that propylene glycol is a food additive used in flavorings, candy, and in fog machines.

CVS sucks compared to Walgreens in general. The pharmacist at Walgreens told me they don't stock PG anymore, but that they could order it and it is usually delivered the next day, and that he would order it if I wanted him to (if I couldn't find it somewhere else) - he did not tell me that it couldn't be purchased due to liability issues. That was yesterday.

You can usually buy VG at Walmart. I think it is $3 for a six-ounce (175 mil) bottle.

PG is the base for over the counter cough syrup that EVERY pharmacy sells (and yes I just went and checked the bottle in the medicine cabinet). Under the inactive ingredients it lists both PG and VG. Next time you encounter one of these idiots calmly go and get a bottle of Children's Cough Syrup or Cold Medicine from their own counters and ask them "If it's so dangerous, why are you selling it for children to swallow?" BTW, both also used in many other things and are the ingredients in KY Liquid. Take both products up and ask why he's advocating the use of something he thinks is dangerous for children to swallow and for you to use on the most sensitive area of your body. Argh, stupidity makes me crazy.

Boy is he misinformed, Evey antifreeze that I have looked at has ETHALENGLYCOL ( spelling probably wrong but?) in it instead of PG. For his information it also contains H2O. Every chemical in something that is poisinus is not alway bad for us.
