Buying VG locally. Criminal connection?

I support everyone's right to buy it from where they wish. My only concern was making sure that mis-information was not created regarding the fact that there's no difference (or question of quality) between Tractor Supply PG USP and ->Insert name here<- brand PG USP.

How someone feels about buying it from there is based on just that...feelings. Which is totally cool! But, feelings are not facts. Wizard Labs is a great vendor, bought stuff from there before. They have the same PG as TS. I just choose to buy from TS because it's right down the road and, I can have it now as opposed to 3-5 days shipping. That's all.

So.... what if wizard labs is just buying bulk orders of pg and vg from somewhere else and repackaging it? just throwing that out there...

Who ever really knows what a company will do? God knows we've had too many instances of companies doing just that. But,
I'd rather put my trust in an FDA approved online company than a tractor supply company anywhere.
Of course, everyone is free to do exactly what they want to do. All I can do is state what is true for me.

Oh my gosh -- I'm the OP and never expected the thread to go this long, but I am happy that it did and have loved reading every post.

We have wavered on-topic and off-topic, and its all been fine, but I just want to reiterate (personally) that this post started as a simple complaint because I could not find local VG. As the OP (especially) I should have never gone off-topic to mention Wizard Labs, and that should have been a new forum post.

Bottom line, please continue your posting here because I love reading it all.

Warmest -- SB

Since I am the original OP of this thread (that I never imagined would get to five pages), I felt it only fair to share some information that I discovered since first posting.

Wizardlabs.us may not be an FDA-approved laboratory after all and just a retail godaddy.com website for Vapor Delights in Tamarac, FL:

You decide -

Wizardlabs.us - Wizardlabs

Hi SeaBrz, i read that Wizard is FDA registered.

The Publix I get it from has it on the same isle with the Tylenol and other meds. It's on the very top shelf further to the left of all the other meds like Advil, etc.

I wish our Publix did. The one 1/2 mile from my house doesn't have it. I usually get VG at either Wal Mart or the health food store.

the walgreens glycerin is Humco brand. I read in another thread that Humco produces 90% of the glycerin sold to pharmacies, i wouldn't be surprised if Wizard Labs gets it from them. I get my nicotine extract in a VG base from them. They obviously do not make their own flavors. None of that bothers me. As long as they give me quality supplies at great prices I will remain a loyal customer even though i have to pay sales tax. I do get my glycerin from Walgreens because it is a little cheaper plus we get a 15% employee discount. It works fine.

I came upon this thread as I am interested in making my own DIY juice, and had many vapors recommend Wizard labs to me, for their products and also the outstanding customer service they provide. I am extremely picky about who I buy my juice from, and always check out vendors extensively before using their juices. I did my research and also reached out to them with questions, and this is what I have learned:
- Wizard Labs is fully registered with the FDA (registration # 18934831870) pursuant to section 305 of the Bioterrorism Act of 2002, as was the previously mentioned Vapor Delights in Tamarac, FL. As far as Vapor Delights, that was originally planned to be the parent company, with Wizard Labs being a separate supply division, but Vapor Delights never really got off the ground and was eventually abandoned, and so Wizard Labs became it's own entity, and is the sole operating facility.

-as for their PG/VG, they are not the manufacturer. The products are bought in bulk from reputable quality manufacturers and distributors to be repackaged and relabeled for resale, just as they do for all of their chemicals, lab-ware, safety gear, and flavorings. I find this to be a standard practice for most products we consumers purchase, no matter what the industry. Their quality control and product prices are exemplary I have found, supported from my research and also recommendations from other users and even vape related vendors I have spoken with. When a competitor praises their competition, that is impressive to me.

Their lab and offices are within driving distance from me in Fla, and customers are welcome to pick up orders if they desire. They are on the 2nd floor of a building, located within what is referenced as a "medical district".

I was assured that if I had any further questions, that they will gladly answer them. I feel very confident buying all my DIY supplies from them, and it gives me peace of mind to know and trust in the purity of supplies I intend to use for my own personal vaping. And I am sure as I venture deeper into this, I will have many questions lol, and I feel very re-assured that they will be happy to answer all of them. They are very open and cooperative. Now if only I could nail down my perfect vape DIY recipe.........it's still a work in progress.:p

I don't think anyone is going to sway someone who is emotionally invested in the marketing aspects of the label over by the logic of the USP standard. The two decision processes are too far apart. It will not matter to that person that the USP standard covers the product, testing, the product handling, and the packaging of the product.

Even if we were to pick apart the marketing phrase and point out the label does not say, "Not for human consumption" or even point out that a human being is an animal, it will not sway someone who is emotionally invested in a marketing phrase because it is a logical arguement.

As long as we can point out the logic to lurkers and the poster is not harming themselves, I believe we have done all that can be done.

I'm starting to give in to all this logic.
100% pure USP PROPYLENE GLYCOL for $21 a gallon. That's 3785ml. WOW.

At 36ml PG per 100ml e-juice batch, that would make 105 reciepes. 105 x 100ml= 10,500ml.
365 days x 3ml= 1095ml.
10,500ml -where the divided sign on stupid computer- by 1095ml = 9.5 years.
Would a gallon of PG still be good in 9 years?

This doesn't account for any juice you might pour down the drain after a bad mix(which for DIY noobies can be a lot)... Still, as Hoosier pointed out, it really puts the amount of juice we make/use into perspective...

Good question, but I'd have to guess no. Only a guess though.

I remember thinking my first gallon would last for years. Many gallons later I can see from your math that I've made a crap ton of juice...

Surely your not vaping all that yourself?
You are an animal Hoosier....love you
