Hello all. I'm new (in case you hadn't noticed, lol). Posting my 5 required posts. I quit smoking (I hope) 6 days ago. I have a little battery and a big battery that is supposed to last 11 to 13 hours and the bottom turns to different settings (Vision Spinner). I have a protank mini and a TS3. I started on the disposable ones, but these have a much nicer delivery and feel to them (I think), and I can wash them and also get replacement coils for 3 bucks and change.

My batteries are dead. I used the big one until it ran down (so it charges up all the way) but I forgot to charge the little one. So I'm sitting here typing away waiting for the little one to charge up (I figure it will charge faster than the big one). I'm staring at two full cigarette packs sitting on my window sill. They're staring back at me, lol... they watch me when I walk across the room to see if the charge light has turned green yet. They're wondering what I'm going to do. I think they're placing bets.

Anyway, hello everyone!

Welcome and Merry Christmas.

I started on disposables in July 2013; still had a carton on analogs at the time; ended up giving away packs one at a time to visitors; and smoked my last cig in Aug.

Keep an eye out for a vv-usb-mini-passthrough; no battery required.

Welcome MissM! Throw a towel over the voyeuristic analogs on the window sill so they can't see what your doing and enjoy being smoke free. As far as partially charging the battery to vape a bit... no worries, won't hurt it at all. You made a great choice in quitting and a better choice in vaping to make sure you don't go back.

BTW, take the towel off the little .......s every once in a while so they can see you haven't changed your mind :p

To heck with it. I unplugged the charging battery and am vaping. If I messed it up and have to buy a new one tomorrow, so I'm out 20 bucks. I don't like those packets of cigarettes watching me, lol lol lol.

lol ... put those little buggers in a drawer and forget about them :2cool:

Cheers and Merry Christmas MissMcVayp

Welcome to the vaping community. I'm glad to see you managed to outwit those pesky analogs sitting on your window sill. As far as using your battery before it has fully recharged, don't worry about it. I've done that plenty of times with no harm to the batteries. You'll quickly establish a routine that works for you.

Also with lithium ion batteries you don't have to run them dead before charging. You can charge them at any state and it won't hurt them. Also welcome and great choice on vaping! It can definitely be more work than smoking and just lighting a cigarette, but it is definitely worth it. If you haven't already, you will notice a change in taste and smell and will just generally feel better. Saturday will be 11 weeks for me and the time has FLOWN by. Merry Christmas as well!

Thank you all for your replies :) It does take some getting used to. Sometimes I pick up the contraption for a vape, then try and pick up a lighter to light it. Then I get all confused, lol. For a while there I actually had to have a clean ashtray on the window sill to rest the PV contraption in because it didn't feel right putting it on the computer table. I replaced the ashtrays in the car with little mason jars that I can rest the PV in whilst driving... so it still kinda feels like a ciggy, lol. And on Friday a vape store opened up a block from my house... I'm taking that as a good sign:)

I have threatened the cigarette packs with dire consequences if they don't stop watching me. That set them all a-twitter, lol. I think they enjoyed the threats! I shall have to threaten them with boredom and disinterest :)

I started with 6 mg of nicotine. In retrospect I thin kit would have been wiser to start a little higher as I was a 2 pack a day kinda person... but what's done is done, and I don't want to mess with it now.

Here's hoping I'm still posting this time next month!!

Keep more than 1 tank available; 1 with the higher nicotine in case you feel the need for it, but use the lower nic tank as your main.

Makes it easier to can cut down on the nicotine if you want.

Hello! I'm new here as well. I quit cigs two years ago after oral surgies related to my smoking. I started vaping about six months after quitting cigs and have never looked back. When I do look back I cant believe I use to do that and how I use to smell and feel..Vaping has changed everything for me and the community is awesome. Its all positive, best decision ever....good luck, keep vaping and exploring what you like but dont give in to the cigs. The vaping world has much more to offer all around..

When I started vaping 2 years ago I got myself a passthough so I could sit at home and not worry about my battery charge...I loved mine tell I got an 18650 mod (zmax). I suggest you grab one up...they are cheap and work really good for beginners! just be careful, the wire that sticks out of it is pretty tiny and gets bent lots, then it will break and start to fray and will start to short out...I taped mine up with some electrical tape so that wouldn't happen...
aaaannnd that makes 5 posts! thanks!

Sorry about the %, lol.... it is mg but I forgot and put %

Well.... its been since since 12/19, and still going strong! Sometimes vaping feels so much like smoking that I forget I don't smoke anymore... Interesting, but I am starting to smell cigarettes on other people and it's making me wonder what I smell like, lol. I actually put on perfume today!
