Trying my best to make a change for my wife and myself. At 37 and constant respiratory issues my wife went to doctor, his exact words after x-rays was, your lungs are the worst I've seen in a patient your age. Fast forward 2.5yrs and still smoking. Fact is, I like smoking but, realize she must stop and therefor I should set the example. So I decided last Sat I was done smoking, picked up a cheap unit from the store and haven't looked back. I must say, sure wish I'd jumped on board 2.5yrs ago. I don't miss the cigs at all! Apparently I've made vaping look good, my wife has decided she will be joining me and give up smokes. Fingers crossed that she enjoys vaping as much as I have this past week. Anyway, that's a tad about me. Hello to all and have a great weekend.

Hi Travis and Travis' wife! My boyfriend decided to try vaping. His kit came with 2 of everything, so after a week, and growing tired of answering my questions, he suggested I go buy some menthol liquid (former menthol smoker) and use his back up battery to see what I thought of it. I loved smoking, too. I had ZERO intention of quitting, was quite surprised that he bought an ecig at all! He started vaping on July 1 and has not touched a cigarette since. I tried it out and cut down from 1-1/2 packs a day to about 5 cigs a day. Within 30 days I was completely off cigs. Still am :) I used menthol liquid (24 mg & 18mg) for about 3 weeks to a month, but grew tired of it, so ventured into other flavors. Occasionally I vape a mild tobacco. My everyday flavors are more the creamy or bakery type and I'm now at 12mg.

Congrats to you, and best wishes to both of you. I hope she becomes pleasantly surprised! I'm sure you'll both be very happy with your new journey.

Congrats and welcome, Travis. Hope your wife continues to join your vaping experience. I also liked smoking, just didn't like the consequences. Thanks to advice from a friend and finding ECF, my vape experience has been great. Been tobacco free for 46 days and have been relatively crave free. ECF is a great resource with lots of experience and the folks here are friendly and supportive. Enjoy !

Last follow up here and I'll move on. Sun will be 3wks w/o an analog and I couldn't be happier. My better half is still smoking analogs and tinkering w/ vaping ,usually in the evenings. Can't force a change for her and that's ok, hoping she'll just keep seeing how much better I feel and how much I enjoy vaping. Also now that I can smell again, maybe she'll get tired of me pinching my nose and telling her she stinks! :)
