Allow me to introduce myself! You might want to grab a cup of coffee or your beverage of choice, and have your PV handy because this is going to be a long one!

A lot of you have recently been asking me things like:

"Who are you?"
"Where did you come from?"
"What is your job at Eastmall?"

I'm going to provide footnotes at the bottom of the post for certain things which need clarity or may need backed up.

Allow me to officially clarify and formally introduce myself. My name is Chris Clower (rhymes with "flower", and not "clover" :p hehe), and I started vaping in March of 2009. My ECF forum name was Deficit, my reason for making a new account is explained below [1].

My first PV was an Epuffer EAZE Magnum (LTv9 clone), which prompted me to begin doing video reviews on ecigs. I made two Epuffer reviews detailing my (negative) experience with their product and customer service - the product cost me almost $150, died within 2 weeks, and they never made good on their warranty. I subsequently made videos detailing my disgust with the product and the company. I am not saying this as an Eastmall rep who's trying to promote EM and diss other companies. Links are at the bottom to back all this up [2].

I immediately began searching out alternative PV suppliers, and ordered from Vapor4Life, Smoke51, ecig.com, and Bloog had just sprung up as a new supplier, so I tried them out as well.

I was very impressed by the product and service I received from V4L at that time, and promptly made a video review for the Vapor King and posted it to the Vapor4Life ECF forum [3]. It got about 10,000 views the first week (between both the video and the text review) [4], and I was contacted by Steve about working for Vapor4Life. I went to Chicago and met with him, and was hired to build the Vapor4Life website, handle all customer support, take care of shipping and returns, and ended up going home with all of his inventory. I met David Yang (over Skype through Steve, not in person) while in Chicago because he was Vapor4Life's supplier. V4L had no website, their only means for ordering was through the ECF and PayPal with a note about the order.

After a few weeks of working 12 - 16 hours per day, 7 days per week, his website was completed and I had shipped several hundred orders and answered hundreds of emails, phone calls, forum posts, and private messages per day while Steve vacationed with his family in Mexico [5]. But my heart was in reviewing, web development, and product promotions. I had also developed a close personal friendship with David Yang because of my required communications with him as the supplier for V4L. After about 6 weeks with Vapor4Life in their infancy, I made the decision to leave the company and pursue other interests, and took the remainder of the V4L inventory back to Steve in Chicago. Part of this was based on the fact that he switched suppliers and left David, and the product quality severely suffered as a result. In turn, I lost my enthusiasm for the product line.

Shortly thereafter, I began working with David and Ed (some of you might remember Ed) about starting a USA-based liquid distribution center, which would distribute Eastmall liquid directly from the USA. This was right around the time that the FDA was seizing a multitude of ecig shipments at customs. We decided that it might not be a good time to do this because of the risk of losing huge shipments of liquid at the border.

I took a 1 year hiatus from the ecig industry and focused on my career as a web developer and graphic designer, as I had been for 14 years previously. In March 2010, David contacted me about working with a friend of his who was looking to start a new China-based ecig company called "Oriental Mall" [6]. I decided to give it a shot and came up with some website designs and a promotional video, but the contract that was proposed left a lot to be desired given the responsibility that would have been placed on me. After weeks of negotiation, I declined the contract and the company never came to fruition.

I took another 6 month hiatus and went back to web development. In September 2010, I decided to get back to ecig reviewing. I had been a regular customer of Eastmall (I assure you, nothing was free or even discounted - I ordered on my own as a regular customer for the entire year and a half previous to September). Almost everything I had left was Eastmall stuff, and I was a devout Eastmall customer based on my true opinion of their prices and quality. So naturally, I made videos about what I had - Eastmall products. Not just because I was friends with David, but because I really WAS a normal customer too.

I was posting my reviews here, and after my 5th video, I was approached by David about being a paid Eastmall employee and handling advertising and product promotions. I jumped straight on it. So here I am!

My job? I make video demonstrations of Eastmall products, run the Youtube channel [7] and Facebook page [8], and since I'm kinda new here at Eastmall, I've been extremely busy with that stuff and have NOT been nearly as active here in the forums as I would have liked to have been (take this as a formal apology), but I am making a personal commitment to you now - you will be hearing a lot more from me here in the forums, whether you like it or not! :p

I'm not customer support like I was at V4L, so I don't know as much of the technical details and product specs as Di, David, and Selina at customer support, but you can feel free to ask me questions anyway and I will try to find out!

Now on with the references!! (Some of the videos have been removed by me, however, the text content remains intact)

[1] I changed my ECF forum name because I was a registered supplier with Vapor4Life and couldn't post on other supplier forums with my reviews, such as here on Eastmall

Ok, I was going over some of the items in my footnotes, and I realized that it might seem a bit weird that the first post after my Epuffer review was from a V4L employee - this is sheerly a coincidence - I didn't start with V4L until some time later, and dohsma didn't even work for V4L at the time of his post on my Epuffer review. I was the first and sole employee of V4L for the duration of my time there, dohsma didn't even start until after I left. I've never worked with or talked to him. You can PM him and I'm sure he'd verify all of it. Just a little disclaimer :)
