I made my purchase from wizard labs so I know my nicotine base is quality. I mixed up 4 bottles at 5%. 1 blueberry 1 grape 1 lime and 1 wintergreen. I has a pretty strong soapy taste, almost bitter. So I heated the bottle up so the juice would thin and violently shook each bottle for five minutes the let them sit on the table for 10 hours with out the cap on. Still soapy and bitter.

I mixed those in max pg base because I am waiting for my VG to arrive. I only vape max VG but I have pg just in case its to think for my tanks.

Could that soapy taste be because I have never vape max pg and I am so used to max VG?

I would try to just vape a little of the PG by itself and see if it tastes soapy. If not, I would mix a little of the PG with the Nic at your Nic % and try that to see if it's soapy. Eliminate the possibilities. If still not soapy it has to be the flavors. Good luck!

PS I hear you got hit with a lot of snow today - be safe. I'm originally from Michigan

Yes, yes, YES! It could easily be the PG. In fact, one of THE best reasons for a DIYer to switch to no/little PG is the taste of PG.

We agree wholeheartedly with Wingsfan0310 - do the elimination test so that you will know for sure. Nic does vary in flavor/intensity from batch to batch. In fact, we no longer use WZL nic after discovering Nude Nic (we will use the WZL for certain tobacco blends). NN tests every batch and strives for their nic to be as tasteless as possible. Just because a nic/vendor has a "reputation for quality" doesn't mean there's not going to be variations in taste...so you really DO need to do the elimination testing to ensure you really know what's happening in your juices.

Most blueberry flavors taste like straight up Dial to me. I've found only one that actually tastes like a blueberry to me. It came all the way from Poland.

'Haven't yet ventured on over to Poland yet - but we discovered our best blueberry from the ECX reviews - and it ain't anybody's blueberry, it's FA's BILBERRY! 'Tastes just like just-picked fresh blueberries - with a tiny sprinkle of sugar.
