Hello all.

On Friday and Saturday I received 3 kayfun Lite + units, or what supposedly were KFL+ units.

First one I got, dropped off by the postal person at my door because I also got a Provari I had to sign for, was from 101Vape.com.

She also told me she had put 2 other packages in my mail box because she wasn't sure I was home to sign for the Provari.

So I walked down to my mail box and got the 2 other packages. One was another KFL, wasn't listed on the website I bought it from as a Plus (+) or V2, and a couple of bottles of juice in the second package.

When I opened the one from 101Vape this is what I found.

IMG_0137.jpg

Which is exactly what I ordered.

When I opened the other package containing the other kayfun this is what I found.

IMG_0131_1.jpg

And this is what is pictured on the website I bought it from. The Daily Vapor dot com.

svoemesto-kayfun-lite-plus-atomizer-cartomizer-150x150.jpg

It did not have any plastic tank sections. It did not come with the key ring/chain screw driver, although it did come with 2 small screw drivers and an Allen wrench. It did not come with any unformed, loose, Kanthal but it did come with 4 wicks with what I think is Kanthal already on them.
Threading on this unit is BAD. So bad I wondered if I would get it apart and back together.
It wasn't listed as a + or V2 but it does have the adjustable airflow screw on the bottom but it is a Hex key, Allen wrench, style (That's what the Allen key is for).
It also has the adjustable 510 connection screw so you can turn it down, or up all the way, to adjust for different battery 510 connections. As you can see in the image below

IMG_0133_1.jpg

To top it off I ordered this KFL on Sunday the 19th and got an order conformation. But then did not get any Shipping conformation. So I emailed the seller on Wednesday the 22 and asked if he was ever going to ship the item I bought. And note that I did not buy it off ebay. I bought it through the sellers website. He did email me back and said he was sorry for not shipping it yet and included a bottle of his juice with it (Haven't tried the juice and not sure I will, EVER).
The deck of the base section is also very ruff. The juice channels have ridges on them.
It also has the older style of top cap with the O ring that can come out every time you take the top cap off.

(Can't post a picture of it).

So is this a Knock Off of a Clone? This one will sit in the closet and if for some reason I need parts for the other 2 I have I'll see if the ones from this Knock Off Clone will work.
My suggestion is to never buy anything from that store, website.

Now on to the other 2.

I received the third one on Saturday. It was bought from Vivid Smoke and cost $10 more than the one from 101vape and shipping was more expensive. I believe I was give the choice of a unit with a Label or No Label. For some reason I think I chose No Label and that is exactly how it came.

IMG_0140.jpg

No label on the box and nothing on the tank. But it is listed as a EHPro KFL+ V2.

Basically the one from 101vape and Vivid Smoke are exactly the same except for the labels. The unit with no label does seem to be a bit rougher overall. Even the box has bent up corners. Other than that everything is basically the same.

So Friday afternoon into the early evening I set out cleaning the 2 units I had and coiling and wicking the one I got from 101vape. Put the other Knock Off of a Clone in my cabinet with my other Vape stuff.
Everything went smooth with the coil making. I did have to add a coil to get it from the original 1.3 ohms with 8/9 coils to 1.6 ohms with 10/11 coils. My first Wick wasn't all that great, didn't use enough cotton and got some dry hits, so I took it apart and installed a new, bigger (More cotton), wick and it is vaping just fine.

As to the vapor. I see a slight difference between the Kanger Mini PT 3's I have and the KFL but in all honesty I don't see that much difference if any at all between the KFL and the Aspire Nautilus tank I have. And the tank that give me consistent clouds is a Eleaf iJust tank I bought at my local shop. That thing is a Cloud Machine
The flavor is better but I'm not sure if that is because of the tank, coil or the cotton wick or a combination of all three.
I'll know when I finally get the Kanthal I ordered and do a signal coil rebuild on one of the Aspire Nautilus heads.
The one thing I do notice about the flavor is it is much stronger then from my other tanks. Not sure that is a Good thing for me as most of the flavors I have tried, that other people rave about, just don't cut it. To sweet, to heavy. We'll just have to test all the flavors on the KFL

But hey now I can say I own and Vape from a Kayfun clone

I got my first Rebuildable this week, the same as you an EHPRO Lite Plus V2. So far I love it. Play with the airflow control, this really helps with dry hits, flavor and vapor production, it's surprising how much of a difference just that simple thing makes. I only vape at 0 to 2mg/ml so, the #1 thing for me is, flavor. Don't care about vapor production, draw, or throat hit.

I am only about a month into using kayfuns myself. I also have a few e-liquids that taste too strong in them. I also noticed that I had to start using lower nic levels. I liked 18mg nic in my old Kanger Protank 2s but, I prefer 12mg or less in the kayfuns. I can go as low as 6mg and be satisfied however, I end up vaping quite a bit more.

A few of those stronger flavored e-liquids I have were higher priced and I did not want to waste them. So, I bought some VG from walmart and added a little to those strong flavored e-liquids. I first mixed a small batch of each at 5 parts e-liquid to 1 part VG. One was perfect at that 5/1 ratio. One of the others ended up being best at 3/1. Not only did I prefer the flavor after diluting them, it also reduces the nic levels. Particularly that 3/1 mixture. That dropped an 18mg down to a more usable 13.5mg.

Unfortunately, I still have quite a bit more inexpensive 18mg e-liquid. And those are not strong enough, in flavor, to dilute. I am not quite sure what I am going to do with those yet.

Yeah I never got the whole Throat Hit stuff. When I think I am getting a good throat hit, which I don't care for, I can't talk right afterwards. So I run all my tanks at a much lower voltage than what you read and see in videos, at least most of the videos. Once I cross the 3.6,.7 volt line with a 1.6 to 1.8 ohm coil I don't care for what happens in my throat.

IIRC I never got that from cigarettes. So why would I want it now.

    Thanks for the reply.

Buy some of the same stuff with 0 (zero) Nic and mix them to get 9mg.

At least that is what I'd do.

    Thanks for the reply.

So that other odd one is the Tobeco? I was under the assumption the Tobeco was one of the better clones. Not sure how I came up with that assumption.

Live and learn. Did B Franklin say that also, Ha Ha.

I would if I could find some at a reasonable price. I have Liqua brand that I brought from Fasttech. They have sold out and it does not look like they will be getting any more. The cheapest I can find here in the states is about $10 per 30 ml plus shipping. I am used to paying less than $6 per 30 ml with free shipping.

Well I paid much more for juice than that. Around $20 and up for 30ML. Best deal locally is from VapeRite on their 60ML bottles. 15ML cost $9.99 and 60 costs $24.99, go figure. Not sure why so cheap on the 60 and why so expensive on the 15.

Go to the DIY e liquid forums and learn to make your own juice. I make my own juice, costs me about 6 cents per ml at the very most, which includes a glass child proof dropper bottle. Up front cost is high, but so save big in the end. It's easy and fun.

I have a Tobeco kfl+ and an EHPro kfl+ V2 clone. I actually prefer the Tobeco because, it has an adjustable 510 positive pin and no markings. The EHPro V2 does not have an adjustable 510 and has the counterfeit markings on the bottom. Aside from the different 510s, the build quality on them is about the same. I guess it boils down to which batch or dealer you bought from. Both of mine came from 101vape.com.

My EHPro V2 may have an adjustable 510 however, the positive screw is so tight, I have not been able to unscrew it yet.

The biggest expense in mixing e-liquid is the time it takes to do the mixing and bottling. The price of the ingredients is quite low. Mixing and bottling a 15 ml bottle takes about the same amount of time as a 60 ml bottle. The shop is still making plenty of profit from the 60 ml bottles.

That is my next step. I have over 500 ml of different e-liquids at the moment. So, I am not in any hurry to get started.

On both of the supposed EHPro KFL+'s I have that screw holds down the positive terminal along with being the positive connection point to the battery. I undid both of mine and that is what I found. I'm thinking about taking the whole screw system out of the Tobeco and putting it in one of the others. But then it is MOOT as neither of those sit flush to the top of my Provari. There is a slight gap between the top of the PV and the tank.

It is amazing how much different batches, from the same Chinese manufacturer, can vary. I guess quality control is a little lacking. If I had it all to do over, I would have bought 3 of the Tobecos, that I currently have, and I would have stayed away from all of the others.

I have a Russian 91% V2 and there is not much difference in the build quality between any of them. The threading on the R91 is a little better but, not enough to make up for the difference in price. I paid around $90 for the R91 and $35-40 for the Tobeco and EHPro clones. There are a few advantages with the R91. You can adjust the airflow without removing the atty from the mod. Plus, it does not whistle. And, I like the airflow with the afc screw actually installed in the atty. To get acceptable airflow and stop the whistling, from the clones, I had to remove the afc screws.

To add to my previous 2 posts, I would recommend buying from a reputable dealer. I have had nothing but good experiences with 101vape.com. Unfortunately, they are sold out of the Tobeco kfl+ clones that I bought. They only have a black version in stock at the moment. 101vape has responded relatively quickly to each of my emails. The next time they have some stainless steel Tobeco clones, I will ask if they are as good as the previous one I ordered. The one I bought from them only came with the polycarbonate middle tank section. It did not have the full length poly tank or the SS mid tank section.

So in hind sight, Would you still buy 3 questionable clones or 1 legit kayfun ?

In Hind Sight when I was looking to buy one no one that I could find had a REAL one in stock. All the sites I went to were for Pre Orders. And yes one of them was the one you linked to. Now it is listed as In Stock. Wasn't like that last weekend.
So I got the next best thing and since I am a suspicion person to begin with I bought 3, one each from 3 different sources.

After reading many posts and articles on the clones I figured at least one of them would work fine. As it turns out as far as I know 2 are fine. I haven't fooled around with the Tobeca unit as I am waiting for the Kanthal I ordered to show up.

Provari ordered last weekend, shipped from Washington on Wednesday shows up on Friday. KFL+ V2 ordered last weekend, shipped from the Left coast on Tuesday shoes up on Friday. KF, Whatever knock off name it is, order last weekend from someplace in TN, Shipped after I contacted the seller on Wednesday shows up on Saturday.
Kanthal I ordered from Florida, one state below me, last weekend shipped out on Monday takes 9 days to get to me. Go Figure. I could of driven down and picked it up in a day and a half.
Got to Love the US postal system.
