Thanx Stats! It was a rotten pic I haven't posted a pic before and didn't know how big I could go with it. I do want to get the ohms down to about 1.5 or so. I find that very nice on my MDCC's.

Here is another pic from the front. I might need to drop it a little lower. Do you think it was too much cotton? I was thinking a little more on each side of the coil. Plus it's a little easier to see after a night of vaping.

eh.. actually that looks pretty good on the cotton, imho.

Couldn't hurt to make the cotton "tails" a little longer but you definitely don't want to go any thicker than that. That's about how swelled up mine look after a few hours of vaping.

This is, for me, just about the perfect amount of cotton. This wick is about a day old so it's fully saturated by now.

Thanx Super! I know it will be a work in progress for a little while. But with the help of my fellow Reonauts I'm sure the time will be short. BTW I might start thinking about leaving just so Jules will force the VVG on me LOL. And for those waiting to ask a VVG will likely be my next buy.

I leave my wick long enough to lay on the ceramic bowl. You still may be using a bit too much cotton. It looks fairly thick. Try just a tad less next time. When you slip the wick in, it should slide with hardly any resistance inside the coil. That then leaves enough room for expansion.

I also wrap 2.0 or 2.2 coils for one of my mechs sometimes. It kind of depends on what juice I'm going to use. You'll get the hang of things with practice.

No. I was just trying to sound cool . I run it about 2.3 ohms

But REMEMBER that is with 30 ga. I wouldn't dare try it with 27 ga.

27 ga is my favorite (except for chalice - it doesn't work with Ti thumb screws cause its too thick for the threads to grab - it may with an original run though) because of its split personality vape characteristics. My chalice has a 2ish ohm 30 ga micro.

I take roughly 4 second drags. That said, with 27 ga at 1.2 ohms (approximately 11 wraps around a 17 ga needle), here's the dope:

Fire and hit right away while continuing to fire = 2 ish ohm 30 ga style vape / Marlboro light. (My style most of the time)

Fire, hold for 3 seconds, then hit while continuing to fire = SLR style vape / hot boxed Marlboro red. (When I want a kicked up vape).
