Yippee they arrived yesterday, having only been shipped the day before by ecig wizard, tremendous service!

Nice presentation box, opened it and there it was my Lavatube kit. I changed the American plug for a UK one first, (can't be bothered with adaptors!) and popped both batteries in to charge, but one already had a full charge, BONUS! that meant I could start testing out my new toy.

First though my first impressions of the Lavatube. I had read many reviews and I must admit all the short comings of the tube, but mine was perfect. The end cap was smooth, not stiff, there was already the safety end hole in place, when I fitted the tank if it was out by 0.25 of a degree then I need better glasses, so all the original faults the reviews in the past wrote of, seem on mine to have been listened to and rectified.

I primed the carto in the puff diddy tank, then spent about 10 mins trying to work out how to fill the tank, had to get some help from Andy at The Vapor Trail in Eastbourne, once he showed me how to fill the tank it all made sense, but quick instructions would have been helpful.

I set the voltage at 4.0 and started to vape .............................. it made my favourite RY4 taste of new carto, it was disgusting! Not to be deterred I took the voltage down to 3.3 and set it at that and slowly vaped through half a tank of RY4, taking time to bed in the carto. By the time half a tank had gone I was getting my favourite flavour through with loads of smoke, so I started to wind up the tube 0.1 volts at a time until I got to 3.6 volts where it has stayed for the time being.

I have now started my second day on the first battery, and there is still about another 2 - 3 hrs left before I will need to change the battery. I still get a slight hint of new carto, but that is now very reduced. The kit came with two atomisers, but no drip tips so if I hadn't purchased the puff tanks as an extra I would not have been able to use this out of the box, which would have been disappointing.

The tube is great, looks good, feels good in the hand (I have big hands so it suits me) and everything works better than I expected having read many previous reviews. The on / off switch is great, the fire button a nice click under your thumb, the voltage up / down buttons easy to use even with big thumbs like mine and easy to set the voltage. Overall I would give my model 10/10 for looks, 10/10 for use, 11/10 for price.

I hope this helps others.:)

The LT does what its supposed to do. I'm GLAD you're not worrying about a 'few' pointed remarks by others.. I have 2 of them and frankly, I leave the science experiment in its place. I simply wanted a good cost effective VV to accompany my Provari. I've used a wide variety of carts/tanks and they all vape excellently. Thats all we really want anyways, right?

If the vape is good, I really don't care whether it's gating the voltage or not. If the vape is not good, then and only then do I dig deeper...

I get the tanks from Madvapes and they work perfectly and I haven't had a leak or bit of trouble. I use the needle drip tips they sell for like .60ea and just replace the dropper tops on my bottles and refill takes about 5-10 seconds.. Just push the cart down till the top of the cart is slightly inside the tube, angle the cart enough to clear the needle tip and squeeze away! Push it back together and you're done. Just remember to change out the cart once in a awhile as taste 'changes' to keep the taste great. I boil'em out a few times before tossing them in the trash.

VV envy is something I'm not going to get into... Great vaping, yes!

ENJOY!

TY so much by the explanation!!!
My only concern is that I dont have a 5V PV, and all the tanks I've seen use the 5V or recommend to use 5V anyway.

I have a Riva 510 3.7V, and I I dont know if it will work.

I just bought 2 fluxomizers and I will give a try to see if they work as advertised, but I am really interested in using a tank in the near future.

Just a follow up since the original post. The fire button got a bit temperamental sometimes sticking and staying in. I sorted this out with a quick blast of WD40, making sure I got the button only. The puff tanks are great, I have two, but there is a definite difference, on one it draws like a dream, the other other one makes me feel like I will end up with my bum hole in my mouth, this is due to the cartomiser, they seem to be temperamental and rather hit and miss. I have had no leaks and intend to try a vodka bath in an ultra sonic cleaner at the weekend with the dodgy one, I am loath to throw it away just yet because ecig wizard have run out of the cartomisers and I still haven't had a response to my email asking when new stock is likely to be in. On the whole though the Lavatube is a good one to get. I upgraded the batteries before I realised it was an iffy carto, but not complaining as I now have 4 good batteries.

Good review but you left out one very important feature, a feature that I dislike, it is a self regulating mod. If you have a meter, screw it on the LT, then screw your carto on. Turn the voltage to 6V and fire it. Watch the meter...the mod will automatically drop the voltage to where it "thinks" it should be to protect the mod. That is the biggest disadvantage to the mod...plus the 10 second cutoff. China needs to revamp the internals in it, then re-release it...it would make some of us happier. For an entry level mod, it's okay and priced accordingly. I'm not knocking it, I just have mixed feelings about it.

So do I in some respects, but as you quite rightly stated for the price you can't really complain, personally I am considering the Provape as a straight forward no frills PV, as it has such excellent build quality, I would like the Provari, but I cannot justify the cost to myself, so its on my wishlist.

comparing provari, i have anything GG in my wishlist xD. GG slim, SS GG stealth, SS GGTS, Odyseuss, UFS, AVS. xDDD drool drool~
