I stopped by to check out a Kanger subtank mini.
They tell me that they do not carry subtanks because they are inferior, recommended an aspire tank instead.
They have every other Kanger tank in stock except the subs.
The Aspire tanks are just sooo superior they tell me, nobody wants a Kanger but I can order you one.
Just ordered myself one online-another nail in the coffin of local B&M's
I really tried to shop local but there you have it, I did walk out with a couple drip tips n stuff at least.:2c:

WOW that is pretty funny! I think the Subtank is far superior to the Atlantis... I have both and that is my opinion of course. But the only things I like about the Atlantis are the AFC ring and the Drip Tip

I use my full size Subtank everyday.. Well awesomeness.

Sorry bout the B&M crapshoot.. We have a couple good B&Ms in my town and they are pretty knowledgeable. But they do mark up ridiculously and some of the cheaper B&Ms do not have enough knowledge on what they are selling.
Just depends on the shop I guess.

It's hard to shop local sometimes when you know what you want and it differs from the owners/employees point of view. I used to run into that a lot back in the day when I was into car stereo systems and would want a different brand of speakers than they liked. As far as vape gear I can only get my beloved Nicoticket and Reo's online so if I am in a B&M I'm usually in a desperate spot(rarely if ever) or just browsing.

Seams strange if they stock other kangers, even if they only kept one or two in. Do they stock rebuildable stuff, maybe they were worried people would find out how cheap it can be and they wouldn't make money from selling coils.
Reading up online i find it hard to believe nobody wants a subtank, I don't have an Atlantis but i sure do love my subtank mini.
Oh well their loss at the end of the day, i find myself using my B&M less and mainly just pop in for the odd juice and a chat. I do like to try and support my local B&M as it is good to have them but they don't make it easy for you at times.

I really did go in to browse but hoped they might have what I was looking for. I expected to pay a little more but I was willing to do that if it wasn't too ridiculous.
I agree B&M's are going to be for desperate times now unless I run across a new one-I am out here in podunk TX so the shops are scarce locally.
I'm an internet shopper by nature anyway.

Thats just bad business. The only reason its "inferior" to them is cuz they dont have it

Agreed, they offered to order me one but heck,I can order it myself without the middleman-which I did.
They need to stay on top of the hot products and stock them or lose out.
Saddens me a bit since I purchased my first mod from them which led to me quitting cigs.
BTW they have a whole case full of Aspire stuff-go figure

I don't remember where I heard it but someone called Bestbuy the Amazon showroom.
Thats funny, especially since Best Buy now matches Amazon prices.
Any way, back to the topic at hand, I can't stand how some B&M's act so hipsterish, and look at anything they don't like as inferior.
I walked out of one when the clerks questioned why I wasn't rocking some super low ohm build on a dripper with a high wattage device.
(I tend to run a kayfun around 1 ohm on a ZNA 30 set at around 17 watts)

When I was advancing/graduating up in gear, I frequented my local vape shops constantly. Always finding something new to try. Now I seem to have plateaued a bit and don't go in as often. My last visit and purchase, besides juice, was a new Kayfun Lite tank. Before that, my iStick 50. Both from the same shop. Got the iStick the day they arrived at the shop and their price was only $5 more than the cheapest online price I'd seen. Couldn't turn that deal down. I used to drop by a shop at least once every couple of days but lately it has only been maybe once a week. I'm satisfied with my setups now and I'm not looking for the next big thing.

I would love to support my B&M, but they make it hard some times. They've got a great line of in-house liquids, and the crew there is really nice and informed, but they're mark-ups on hardware are quite ridiculous in some regards. I try to swing by once a week, or so, mostly just to see what's what and hang out for a bit between work and the house, but when it comes to anything buy juice I have a really hard time justifying the cost. Thankfully, they don't seem to ever think anything is 'inferior' or 'subpar' and any opinions they give our truly just their opinions and they know that. Has done a lot for my progression through vaping. Other stores I've been in since beginning have been very hit or miss when it comes to staff knowledge, juice selection, opinions, but one thing has always been the same, if they've got it, it's really been marked-up. I get that they have costs to worry about, and they are a business, but come on.
