I've found many pre-mixed juices need just a little "salt and pepper" maybe a squeeze of lemon for the perfect taste. Not exactly DIY mixing your own juice from scratch, although it may lead to doing just that.

I bought some basic flavorings, chocolate, lemon, lime, sour flavor, sweetener, menthol drops, couple of mints, vanilla, and use them to augment some pre-mixed. Chocolate will greatly improve a so-so peanut butter, or a mint, or even a few drops in a fruit flavor. Some fruit flavors are just begging for some more sweetener, or sour, or just a squeeze of lemon. Un-vapable tobaccos are greatly improved with a few drops of menthol drops, menthol also works well with citrus flavors. Lemon-Ice, wonderful and refreshing.

It's like going to a restraunt, nothing wrong with adding a little salt and pepper to your meal, or a squirt of chocolate syrup to a dish of ice cream, depends on your personal tastes.

Aside from juice, your equipment is important too, as are the methods you use for vaping. I only recently started to drip and even more recently "discovered" dewicking my attys. I did this only after getting that nasty burnt-taste after using an atty for a while. It's only a theory, but I think the residues that build up on wicks tend to be difficult to clean out, and they tend to produce that burnt-taste. After dewicking (thanks to many instructional videos from ECF), I'm now getting more full-flavor and overall better vaping experience from my equipments (I use a mod unit -- Darwin).

Finally, I just want to add that there are many wonderful juice suppliers out there. I bought some superb juices from Vapor Station, nHaler and Freedom Smoke USA, but for me, Backwoods Brew has been by far the best in terms of overall quality. Good luck in your search.

+1 on the dewicking. It's the first thing I do to a new atty.

I ordered from want2vape last night, they're relatively unknown but I've been reading awesome things about them, their "rockstar" and "acid blonde" flavors in particular. I haven't tried vaperite yet but supposedly that's some top notch juice.

At 1st I was always on the lookout for a good deal and inexpensive juice but after 7 months my bin of about 50 untouched juices tells me man, sometimes you get what you pay for. I'm at the point where I'm willing to pony up for the "fancy" stuff, which really isn't much more expensive.
