Came to Tampa to visit us on the 18th, and went back to AZ yesterday. Me and my 5 kids haven't seen her in almost two years, when we moved across the country here.

She quit smoking in December of 2008, and stayed quit for about a year, before starting back up with the "occasional" smoke. Keep in mind that I've seen my Mom smoke for as long as I can remember, and I'm 37.

Well, she ran out of cigarette money, and I didn't preach the e-cig to her or anything. If she started asking me things, I'd answer, explain how it worked, etc. When she ran out of cigarettes, she asked to use mine, so I set up a battery for her, and one for myself.

The day before she left, out of the blue, she said she was going to save up for the Tornado kit. Now, she's retired, so I knew it would be awhile for her to come up with that much money.

Yesterday, we woke up early, and went to lunch, and then went to the Totally Wicked store. I told Mom I was getting another kit for me so I'd have more extra batteries. I bought a pink Tornado, 2 boxes of empty cartridges, and a 5 pack of atomizers. As soon as we got in the car, I handed her the bag, and she went to stuff it in my purse for me, so I grabbed it and handed it back to her. She looked at me funny and I said "That is YOUR kit, not mine." :p

She was...shocked, I guess. You know how Moms are: "You can't spend over $100 on me!!!" I told her if it meant that she could quit and stay quit, $100 was MORE than worth it. Then we raced home and while Virgil was making her some Apple Caramel drops to take home with her, I went through our stash and gave her all the drops that I had just sitting around, and that she thought she'd like. She easily has enough drops for at LEAST 6 months, probably more.

I wanted to post, because while I've helped several coworkers quit using the e-cig, nothing, and I mean NOTHING feels as good as seeing the people you LOVE be able to stop smoking.

I called her today and she said she's doing great, has had ZERO cravings for tobacco cigarettes, and loves it. She kept thanking me and saying "I love this thing. I don't smell like cigarettes, and I don't have that nasty cigarette taste!"

So...please say a prayer, or send a happy thought for my Mommy and her e-cig success. She will be 62 in January and it'll mean the world to me if she can have as much luck as my son and I have had with the e-cig.

Thank you all!

That is wonderful. Good thoughts coming her way. Please let her know we are cheering for her. You are the best kind of daughter, for sure.

Can she come here and read our good wishes? I would be happy to be her friend, I am near her age.

My Mom doesn't have internet. =(

I'm trying to get her to at least check into NetZero or something along those lines, as it's cheap.
