Keiper, I'm not sure there is an actual "breaking in process" that is the same for every user and could be described exactly. But there is a process of learning how to use a PV (any) and there is a break-in period on the atomisers until you've burned off the primer and they start really working well, at least in my experience. How long that lasts will depend on how heavily/frequently you vape.

In my experience, it took a day or two for my attys to really start working well and for me to be able to truly taste the flavors of the liquids without a hint of the primer taste. That doesn't mean they weren't working at all, just not as well as they do now.

You need to learn how to draw on it to produce the best hit for you. You don't say if you have a different PV now or if the 510 will be your first. You don't "smoke" them like you do an analog. The draw is different and hard to describe. Some say slow long drags and I guess that's as good a description as any. You'll learn how to do it through trial and error and you'll find your best draw that suits you.

There is the charging period and I would recommend you definitely follow the manufacturer's instructions of charging a full 8 hours (ignore that green light and watch the clock instead), use the battery for 20 minutes, then charge for another hour. If you do this and have any problems, you should be able to eliminate low battery charge as a cause. But, you do have to spend pretty much a day waiting for your 510 to be ready which can be a true test of patience! :p

I think you'll love your 510! I love mine and haven't smoked an analog since the first day my 510 was fully charged and ready to go!

When u get the 510 try to blow the atty out......run it under the tap and blow it 4-5times. Then stand it on end to dry. When your batts are ready drip a couple drops on the bridge of the atty and take a couple puffs. Then drip another drop and add the cartridge. Most of the primer should be gone. That being said it will take you a little while to figure the best drag style to get vapor. I recommend a primer puff then a soft slow drag.

edit( and while you should follow manufacturer recommendation on charging batts, there are threads upon threads about lithium ion batts)

Sorry, i should have given more info. I'm coming from the Smoking Everywhere automatic (RN4081 I believe) and so I know a bit. I'm hope I don't have to suck quite as hard as I do now to get vapor(biggest issue). Also looking for better taste and vapor production.
I vape both the RN4081 and the JOYE 510. I find they both draw the easiest and smoothest when I take out that little cap on the end of the cartridge.

I've heard others say that removing the cap helps. I should try that.

As far as break in goes, I think it's really just a matter of burning off (or washing off) the stuff they put on the bridge for shipping and storage. Once it's pulling pure liquid, it'll work pretty much as advertised. I always feel like mine hit their stride after about an hour of heavy vaporing, but I don't wash them first either.

OMG! I just got my 510 and its awesome!!!!! I put in some 36mg cigar juice and its delicious. I was so surprised when i took my first drag because of the huge throat hit. Its way harsher than an analogue!

That's great that you like it so much right off the bat! I know the feeling. I loved mine from the first vape too. :hubba:

What flavor cigar juice are you using? I was thinking of trying some of the different cigar juices in my Yeti. Does anyone know if they come in low or 0 nic content and if they do, has anyone used them in a 510?

I`ve been using the 510 for about 2 keeks now but I dont seem to have that. Where is that cap and how can I remove it ?

Cheers

Easy. Stick a paper clip in the little hole on the end of the mouthpiece where you draw in the vapor and pop out that flat end. It's an insert with little clip legs. It's not glued in, so you can pull it right off with a paper clip.

Personally, I don't see any difference in draw with the cap off, but some people report success, so it's not a bad idea to give it a try.

Ive been using the 36mg cigar juice from nuvape. After trying all the other juices I got, I must say I dont like the flavors as much. I got all tobacco flavors (Pipe, Cigar, and 555) and they all taste mostly the same with a little bit of variance in flavor. Now Im wishing I would have gotten something other than tobacco flavors, but these will work for now. And the nuvape cigar does come in low and 0 nic strength but just so you know, its good but it doesnt taste much like real cigars.

tobacco flavors are pretty much over rated in my little experience that i have (2 weeks maybe a little more) i found that i liked the coffee and minty flavors the best check out the straw mod as well for the 510 it upped the flavor and experience of the 510 since you can actually fill the cart way more.it took me about 3 days to get rid of the primer and get used to the 510 and this is the first e cig i have ever had
