My Joytech eGo t (type a) kit arrived in the mail Friday. I was so excited that I wanted to post something that night, but although I could log in etc for some reason I couldn't type anything on this site. Nothing is wrong with my laptop. I guess the ghost in the machine wanted me to wait and give her a real test spin before I posted anything...

So I picked the eGo kit up at my office and...could not figure out how to fill it. The picture of a tank being filled in the manual is so over exposed that it is completely blank in the middle. I waited til I got home to try again, and saw the little cap on top of the plastic tank, filled it, and vaped joyously that night.

But I am coming to the conclusion that I'm either not filling them correctly, or that I got a little ripped on the tanks. My kit came with 5 plastic tanks...or a couple more? Anyhoo, two were on the eGos, and the others were individually wrapped. Only the wrapped ones had caps, and I discovered on my first day out with my new unit that the tank I was using was leaking; the plastic seal had come off from around the cap. At this point I realized that while otherwise equipped, I am very short of said caps! Of course, I had spent much too much time opening and closing the tanks, in my excitement over my new toy.

I learned to leave the tanks alone as much as possible, and ordered some today, but the eGo that I was using today seemed to quit on me, and the seals of both the tanks I brought with me failed. Now I'm thinking I should fill them with a syringe, never removing the caps? And is clogging of some sort a normal problem, or is one of my eGos faulty? I haven't been organized about experimenting with the equipment yet, but it seems to me that one consistently has fewer probs than the other.

Thank all of you for this forum! I'm sure that the answer to this is already buried somewhere within it, but it's nice to be able to just ask the question. BTW I did produce some really acceptable diy juice over the weekend, and I discovered that those little lids that come with disposable Blus fit perfectly over the eGo tanks. I knew they had to be good for something...

as far as the tanks leaking on the type A that is a fairly common prob and they addressed that by selling rubber caps for the tanks that provide a better seal so they dont leak. now for the clogging what kind of juice are you using ? for the ego-t it is reccomemded to use mostly a pg mix because the highes the vg content in the juice the higher chance you have of having the juice solidify in the atty thus reducing the performance of the PV hope this helps.....

Hi, yes, it helps. I did try my own juice, but sparingly and in a special cartridge! I have a rn4081 for taste testing. It's possible I used enough to clog things a little, I suppose, but all the parts seem to be working ok at this writing. I've been using the 16 mg 'american style' juice I ordered, which is really thin and I think mostly or all PG. (I ordered the most plainest stuff I could find, wanting to know what the 'norm' is like before I started ordering fancy stuff.

Any cleaning/unclogging tips tho? Has anyone tried sealing a cap onto the tank with something like superglue and then filling it with a syringe?

How to fix the type A ego tanks:

Crystal Clear Vaping

These things hit great, they are dirt cheap, they hold 2ml of juice, they come with free drip tips, they don't leak.
Buy them. If you don't like them, I'll buy them from you...even the used ones. I'll even pay the shipping.

If you really want capacity on them, put a tank on them.

ON the ego t you sould first remove the little rubber cap on the bottom of the tank. After this look inside the ego atomizer there is two little slits where the air flow can go through. Next aline the slits on the tank so they can matchup right and the air can freeflow when you take a inhale on your ego t. Next without filling the tank take and insert it all the way so that there is no little space when you insert it, if you dont this will cause a major leak. Now take alittle magic maker and make a little mark on the tank and atomizer while they are together hence so every time you insert the tank it will go back in exactlly the way it came out. Now the tank has been peirced properly. Take the tank out and inside the bottom of the tank take and push the little bit of plastic flap out of the way so it will not block the fluid from being able to flow when you inhale, this might help on the wick getting the juice it needs properly. take a syringe and fill the tank from the little hole in the bottom, it should hold about one cc of juice, wipe the bottom of the tank off so there is no fluid on it. Now take and reinsert the tank lined up with the marks and make sure it it seated all the way down, hence no little space between the tank and the atomizer. Next take a few primer puffs off of the ego, and away you go. If you do not do this the juice will not flow properly and you will get a burnt taste. If this does not work your juice may be to thick, to much vg. The only juice I have ever had any luck with in mine is 70pg 30 vg the wick has to be able to stay wet in order to work. this sould also help so you do not have anymore leak issues. Sometimes you have to fiddle with the ego t to get it to work properly, but once you do they are accually pretty nice. I hope this will work for you cause it did for me and my dad.

another reason i find my ego-t leaks is taking to big of a drag creates too much vacuum pulling juice down into the addy flooding it. also when the air hole in the bottom start to clog it does the same thing. depending on the atty thread the slits may not line up and the mouth piece may be crooked with the button. i have found the slits did not make any difference for me if they were lined up or not. also don't fill the tanks all the way that seems to stop the flow or make it harder to wick, air locked i guess. also you may have to adjust the wick to get better flow of juice, just look on you tube and you will see alot of videos on how to fill, maintain, and adjust wicks

Seem to do that a lot, posted then saw next reply.
I have noticed that about overfilling, and I do tend to huff on my e cig a bit...a habit I hope will dwindle as my whole spirit gets used to not really smoking. I'm a little confused about where the wick even is, I figured it out on my rn atomizer. Will look on u tube. I know that, vast as this forum is, all the answers are out there somewhere...ps, I am trying the glue on one tank, just to see what happens
