Hello, I started his adventure last July. Started with Kanger T3s which I still use. They look cheap but wotk great, only a few flooding issues. Then I bought a Kanger Protank 2. People said it had an airy draw which I like but mine never did have an airy draw. It did work well but flooded often or got gummed up easy. After that, I bought a Smoktech 6ml DCT. No flooding, good taste and flavor but it was easy to burn the cotton wick and get a horrible burnt taste.
I have looked at RBA's before but wasn't sure about rebuilding them even with all of the internet videos out there.
I started to grow really tired of flooding, burnig cotton and replacing coils all the time. So I decided to get an RBA. Wasn't sure what to get then I remember reading and looking at the reviews of the Fogger V2. It had issues but looked nice and sounded like whhen it doesn't have issues, it works great.
Looking around, I found out that they came out with a version 3 or 3.5, depends on the distributor.
I found one on madvapes.com and ordered it. From what I hear, they have fixed the issues that the V2 had. Hese come with the wick and coil allready assembled. But these hace machining oil on them so I took it all apart and washed it.
I have it on a Vamo V3. Well, I put the wick and coil back in and it wouldn't fire. Checked ohms and it jumped around from .5-1.0. Hmm, it looked ok I though. Finally after about 10 attempts, I got the coil to fire at 1.7 ohm and the whole coil glows now. For a while, I had issues with the wire going from the coil to one of the posts only glowing. Not sure what that was all about.
After getting it working, I put it together and loaded it with Big Sky from Natural Extracted Tobacco (good stuff btw).
Well, I works amazingly. I love the ability to adjust the airflow. So far, no flooding, no burnt taste and crazy amounts of vapor.
Impressed so far but this is my first day with it. It looks huge on my Vamo lol. Way bigger than my PT2 and Smoktech DCT. I wish I had something that would fire sub ohm coils. I have 30 amp Sony 18650's that need a workout
Will a Provari do sub ohms?
