Hello, I started his adventure last July. Started with Kanger T3s which I still use. They look cheap but wotk great, only a few flooding issues. Then I bought a Kanger Protank 2. People said it had an airy draw which I like but mine never did have an airy draw. It did work well but flooded often or got gummed up easy. After that, I bought a Smoktech 6ml DCT. No flooding, good taste and flavor but it was easy to burn the cotton wick and get a horrible burnt taste.

I have looked at RBA's before but wasn't sure about rebuilding them even with all of the internet videos out there.

I started to grow really tired of flooding, burnig cotton and replacing coils all the time. So I decided to get an RBA. Wasn't sure what to get then I remember reading and looking at the reviews of the Fogger V2. It had issues but looked nice and sounded like whhen it doesn't have issues, it works great.

Looking around, I found out that they came out with a version 3 or 3.5, depends on the distributor.

I found one on madvapes.com and ordered it. From what I hear, they have fixed the issues that the V2 had. Hese come with the wick and coil allready assembled. But these hace machining oil on them so I took it all apart and washed it.

I have it on a Vamo V3. Well, I put the wick and coil back in and it wouldn't fire. Checked ohms and it jumped around from .5-1.0. Hmm, it looked ok I though. Finally after about 10 attempts, I got the coil to fire at 1.7 ohm and the whole coil glows now. For a while, I had issues with the wire going from the coil to one of the posts only glowing. Not sure what that was all about.

After getting it working, I put it together and loaded it with Big Sky from Natural Extracted Tobacco (good stuff btw).

Well, I works amazingly. I love the ability to adjust the airflow. So far, no flooding, no burnt taste and crazy amounts of vapor.

Impressed so far but this is my first day with it. It looks huge on my Vamo lol. Way bigger than my PT2 and Smoktech DCT. I wish I had something that would fire sub ohm coils. I have 30 amp Sony 18650's that need a workout :) Will a Provari do sub ohms?

I cannot get my Fogger to work at all. I have the same version, but no matter what I do with the wicks it constantly floods. It is not a instant flood but when I leave it over night I always find a pool of liquid coming out of the air holes.

I have tried cotton balls, cotton thread and ekowool so far. I have also tried with and without the o-ring. Nothing seems to make difference. I have looked at multiple videos online for Fogger builds including Todd's and Rip's have tried that build, still have leaking issues. I'm not sure the size difference between the cotton thread and ekowool versus what Todd and Rip were using but I made sure the juice holes were well plugged.

Anyone have any ideas about anything else I can try. I'll try another build on it tonight but starting think I would have been better off putting the money towards another Kayfun.

have you tried putting the spare orings on? sounds like maybe you have an air leak. if the tank isn't sealed completely it will leak over time.

I'll try replacing the o-rings tonight and see if that helps. I read somewhere else that the fogger will always leak out of the airholes overnight if you do not close the airflow down. I wonder if anyone else has had that issue. I'm going to try that if the o-rings don't fix the issue, I would rather not have to do it because I think I will forget.

I've been fooling with the fogger V3 all week! Tried silica, tried cotton. I find it works great for about an hour, and then I start getting burnt hits. Man do I hate those! Any thoughts on that? I tried a little more cotton, a little less cotton... The coil is beautiful, and at a reasonable 1.5 ohms or so. Running out of ideas.

Is there a hot spot on the coil? What voltage are you at? What juice and pg/vg ratio are you using?
It took me 10 tries of trying to make a coil but got it to work. 1.7ohms and the coil glows evenly. It didn't at first. Had to reoxidize the steel mesh and the pulse the battery to get it even.

Vaped a whole tank at work last night, worked great. Don't forget to shut off the air holes when you are not using it, it might leak.

I have had a hell of a time getting my fogger build right! I think I got it now though...
I ripped out the original build, washed the unit and put a 2 ohm micro coil with cotton in the unit. The grommet that goes around the build deck to secure the chimney was a HORROR to get back on... I made sure and had cotton sticking out the channels pro tank style.
The 2 ohm was to Hugh for me. I I got through half the tank before draining it and starting build 2. I watched Todds video on it, and didn't replace the chimney grommet this time. I also didn't lock cotton in the air channel, but packed the build with cotton. This leaked. I think I lost 2 ml of liquid on my desk in 5 minutes. I cleaned up and drained the tank.
Built 3 is about 1.6 ohms, and the same coil u had in build 2. This time I put a good size wick in, and made sure to pack the juice channel with cotton. This one works like a dream. I had gurgling and leaking at first because I didn't close down the air channel before filing it, but after that cleared I'm good to go! I left the air control wide open last night and had no leaking in the morning! I put it on a plate, so I would have noticed. I've been vaping on it a day, some times closing down the air channel when I switch tanks, but mostly left it open. I think that is the trick with cotton builds. Plug those channels!

You can tighten the top cap and use a syringe, or needle nose bottle.
What I do is take the fill screw out, tighten down the air
control, put the top cap for the tank on, hold the glass down firmly, take the top cap back off, fill, replace top cap, replace fill screw, slotted ring, and drip tip attachment, open air, and Vape!
Again, it has leaked on me, but I think it was because I didn't have enough cotton in the channels.

I have read some bad (old) reviews of the Fogger. Setting the coil does take some fineness; which isn't often... round about 30 days or more now with the same coil setup, just been changing the cotton out after a clean burn once a week. The slotted ring is collecting dust somewhere; not much use for it other than cosmetic or as a ring for the finger. I get an occasional flooding during vape which may be due to not using the o-ring over the threading to ensure a tight seal or could be from some excessive cotton packing. Anyway... I enjoy the lush flavor that the atomizer delivers. Not fond of the air channel ring; all the way open when vape, completely close during filling. Considering just tossing the air control ring and molding a rubber stopper to cover the holes to assist when filling.

My only issue so far is filling it up without it leaking. How do you fill these without them leaking?

If i have a pair of pliers handy i fill it from the bottom. If not and/ or im feeling lazy i just turn it sideway and fill from the fill hole. As long as you dont pump into a sealed tank when liquid is present at the two wick holes, you ll be fine. Sideway filling does leak but very minor, usually can be cleaned up with a few puffs with a good coil.
