I just received a lavatube in the mail today. Screwed on the smoktek DC tank, charged the battery, waited a couple hours and fired it up. It was working fine for about 10-15 minutes set at 4.0 volts giving off glorious, billowing clouds of vapor and then... nothing.

The LCD screen works and it allows me to change the voltage. I press the button to no avail yielding no results. I switched to a basic 510 atomizer to see if it was a faulty cartomizer, yet again I was met with the same results. I changed the battery too.

A big disappointment. Any one else experience this? Any suggestions?

Do you have any other 510 batteries? Check and see if they work (cartos) on another battery. Rule out bad cartos first. I notice the tubes are touchy at times. (I have a apollo one.) Take the battery out and re-insert. Unscrew the carto and apply it again.

The cartos work on my 510 pass through. I tried your second instructions and that didn't work either

Well if it's anything like mine, you will have to wiggle out the center post of your atty, tank, etc, My LT has a big fat flat center post and I think the atty, etc is shorting out on that too large center of the LT. I am returning mine for the chrome LT at Apollo because it has a normal narrow center post. The only thing that works non stop is my DCA306. It'a just not acceptable.

    ^^What he said.

The center post of the carto MUST extend below the surrounding ground of the connector. If the connector ground touches the center post of the PV you will have a short.

Im a new LT mini chrome user myself. Had similar scenario where i manage to charge one of the batteries supplied in full and used it a good full day. I thought i was a happy man until i tried the charge the battery.

To cut story short, supplied batteries is a gone case. I only manage to find a similar battery that's 3.7v. Can't even charge the new battery on the supplied charger. Manage to find a known working charger but new batts are dead too.

Finally found an AW IMR 18350 batt and i was a happy man yet again. Mine is a very rare case of extreme batt/charger problem. Maybe you could try look for someone that can let you try their battery and rule any battery problems

It has short protection, it just refuses to fire. Pulling the post out on your atty should get it working.

I pulled it out so that the center post is higher than the threading and still it won't work. I am going to have to contact the supplier, hopefully I won't have to send it back first. I was really hoping to stop smoking analogs this week.

supplied batteries are poor quality battery.

Correct me if I am wrong and please don't confuse my question as one of sarcasm, but if the battery is measuring 4.1 on the lavatube is it fair to assume that I should at least get some fire?
Something is surely defective with your unit. At this point I sure hope you have contacted the vendor/supplier of your tube. Like I said before my tube acts weird at times. At home I use an extender 510-510 because the threads seem cheap.

Do yourself a favor too, go ahead and get a cheap ego or kgo, so you will have a backup if you run into other problems down the line

Good advice. I am using my 510 pass through with the 3 ohm atomizer that came with the lavatube.

The supplier hasn't returned my e-mails other than asking me what type of atomizer I am using. I mean it's great that they shipped it fast, but that's not the only thing that factors into a customer service experience.
