Guys & gentlewoman,

I went into a local shop around me & they were absolutely fantastic. They let me test all their mods and mod clones.

I ended up getting: Astro Mod clone ($30), coils, cotton, and Stillare v2 clone. I went with clones, since I'm completely new to mods and wanted to test before buying the real deal. They suggested the Astro since they've had zero problems with past clients buying them. The best part? They will fix/replace parts if the clone ever goes wrong. It's the little extra customer care that I was more than thrilled to work with them. I could have saved some money online with these clones, but the fact they replace parts and fix your mods is an added bonus. On top of that, they will personally rebuild coils for their RDA's whenever you please.

The guy showed me & built the coils, showed me the set up for the cotton, and were very informative. Only problem with the mod, there are some gaps from the Stillare and mod which I'll show in pictures before. They said with a tool and hammer, it can be moved down. If I mess it up, they will replace it for me free of charge. For the finale, here's the picks below:

As you can see in the 3rd pic, the RDA doesn't fit flush. If anyone everyone has any advice, please let me know!

Needless to say, I'm happy I went to a shop with guarantees and are highly helpful.

*As a side note, PLEASE buy authentic. I am only doing this because I am new and want to learn before I shell the big dollars for time and tested products*

dont hammer it!! the pin in the top of the mod should be adjustable downwards, pull the top section of the mod apart ( unscrew) and "unscrew" the pin a tad to see if it starts to extend outwards from the top of the cap, if it does, tighten up the atty a tad and repeat untill the atty is flush. re assemble the tube insert battery and vape happy :)

From what I've read the astro has a floating 510 pin... so he will have to unscrew the base and try to screw the mod in further until it sits flush and then rescrew the base back to the top half :p

thats a sick combo! does the atomizer bottom pin protrude? thats probably the issue your dealing with, hammer could work but it will probably push the center pin on the atty up then if you try to put it on a different mod it may not work. Do you have pics of the bottom of the atty/ where it screws into the mod?

Here's some picks that may help. The atty has a little gab, so maybe it's a design issue with the atty. The screw on the Astro mod won't budge, we tried to screw it in the shop. There is no affect in the performance, just aesthetically it's not as pleasing as I'd like.

The stillare does seem to have a longer 510 connection than most of my other RDA's... Does the Astro not have a floating or adjustable 510?

It shows screws as you can see above, but I haven't had any luck. Maybe a little for force will help budge it. It may be be tightly in right now.

The atty is fine.. its the mod that's the problem... if it doesn't have an adjustable or floating 510 pin every atty you hook up to it won't sit flush... or won't fire... maybe try a small flathead screwdriver and lightly try to unscrew it after taking the mod apart? see if that works?

I've tried and it seems too tight right now, although there is a screw.

And it fires completely fine. I'm getting immense clouds of smoke. I might try and atty with a shorter 510 thread.

DO NOT USE FORCE! The force is the enemy of mods... unlike the jedi's

Since it's firing fine and working flawlessly for now, should I just leave be? For $30, it's a small annoyance, but I can live with it since it was so cheap.

Yeah you'll have to live with it sadly... my Stillare fits flush on all of my mechs

I also got the Astro clone for my first mechanical with the helios clone rda which I love and am glad I got it you will love the Astro.

Sounds good! I'm glad the shop let me test it. They had comparable prices from online outlets I've seen. The real mods were pretty accurately priced match. I've just never been to a shop that will fix anything and rebuild coils for you. I'm sure I'll rebuild my own, but it's nice to have.
