My New Member Thread with noob ?s

I have been inhaling analogs for about 21 years now (mostly menthol), and never really considered quitting, until recently.

I heard a little about ecigs over the past few years, but only seen 1 or 2. one of my friends started vaping a few years ago and I just kind of dismissed it as a trend and not economical until I found a free trial on facebook. I know free trials are a no no, but I also know how to use them. needless to say the free trial was garbage but got me interested. I now own a pair of Janty ego batteries, 5 clearomizers, and have 10 more in the mail as well as 11 flavors of ejuice.

I do have a question I would love to be able to ask in the regular forums about a company that I actually have already ordered from. The company Healthcabin has a universal cone cover for the ego, but I read the 510 cones wont fit over clearomizers. I also read someone requested a cone for use with the ce2 510 clearomizers and that HealthCabin would be carrying them. I just need to know if I will need to break out the dremel. I am not afraid to get to grinding this cone when it arrives.

please go easy on me I am not a huge forum poster and am not real up on etiquette, but hope I am doing this right.

Looks like you are already heading in a good direction by coming here and starting with a good starter pv. I assume you are talking about the cone that slides or connects to the ego battery. If so, there are allot of things that these wont fit over and when I was using an ego I stopped using them pretty quickly as I was using clearomizers and xl cartomizers by smoketech that these did not fit over. You don't have to have it on there, it is purely for aesthetics.

Congratulations on starting your journey.

Heyas,

Clearomizers tend to be larger in diameter than steel cartos, since the plastic has to be thicker than steal to be strong enough, so yeah, my clearos won't fit my ego cones. Then again, any black cartos I've ordered are black due to a sheet of black plastic glued to the outside of the steel tube, which increases the diameter, and so also won't work with my joye ego cones. I have some cones that I ordered from greenhouseone which are larger diameter, and so fit most of the black cartos.

As to the dremel, I see no reason it wouldn't work. The cones are just that. A hollow metal cone. Pop a cutoff wheel on the dremel and wack a bit off the end, and you'd should be good to go.

Also, a cone isn't really required to use clearos or cartos on a bit batt, as you've probably already determined. They're mostly there for looks/comfort, although they can also restrict the airflow, giving a harder pull that some like.

Hope this helps :D

I actually hear it helps tighten up the draw and helps protect the carts/threads from getting messed up.

Good point Prodijadd,

pretty much every 510 carto/atty I put on a 510 connector tends to be wobbly. If you have a cone that's sized just right for the carto/atty, it really helps reduce the wobble. Perfectly sized cone/carto combo's seem to be few and far between for me though. They're often either too loose, and don't help with the wobble, or too tight, and get no airflow at all.

Well one thing about me is I am not afraid to modify for my needs...just ask Black Betty (my 1999 Nissan Sentra SE-L)

I can always drill a hole for airflow if need be after cutting 1-2mms of the top of the cone ;)

that would work most likely...but I am looking for one that would hopefully smooth out the look a little more and I will be using clearomizer xls with the setup and have already purchased the universals from Health Cabin..but I will look around that site more!..I am going to have to create a whole new bookmark folder for these ecig companies.
