TW Tornado = eGo???

Hi,
I've been vaping for about 3 weeks with my Tornado. I just found this forum today. Am I correct in saying that the Tornado is the same as the eGo. Are they interchangeable? Are there less expensive places to buy the bateries and Attys? Are they reliable? I have 2 of the LR cone shaped Attys for my tornato and really like them, but would like to get a couple more. I tried a clearomizer with it and didn't find that it worked as well as the carts. Are there certain juices that I sholdn't put in the clearomizer?

They are essentially re-branded eGo batteries, which means that anything threaded 510/306 should go right on top of 'em. Never tried a clearomizer, so can't help you there...

You should be putting thinner liquids into the clearomisers but there is a way to get them to wick even vg if these are CE2's we're talking about and not G4 or CE3:

Put the clearomiser on your battery and gently wiggle the plastic tube off. Once you've done that, take all of the seals out. It's the white inner seal you're interested in. Where the slots are, extend them by cutting /\'s out of both of them. Then you just need to put the tube back on, then line the inner seal up with the wicks and podge it back onto the cup. Refill it, put the other seals back on and you should be good to go.

Clearomizers work fine with the tornado/eGo. Go for the standard resistance ones, the tornado is a standard 3.4 volt device. The clearomizers should work on any 510 threaded device pretty much (some odd kits don't work as well, but that's the device not the clearomizer see the rev 2.1 for example). There are known issues with clearomizers though, like wicking issues, cracked tubes and burnt taste hits. I'll be honest I've had most if not all of these at times, but still sware by them. When you fiddle a bit, (or better yet get an array tank mod for them) for me, they provide the best flavour for your juice out of any delivery device around, even LR cartomizers which everyone on these boards seems to love.

The new crack proof clearomizers on Totally Wicked are good, if a bit small. They really do seem to be crack proof and also do away with the small inner seal circle bit for a bit less faffing. Maybe try those? Work fine on my tornado.
