My new Provari did something strange....

I'm a bit concerned about the microprocessor, I was vaping away at 4.7 volts with a SCT of 3 ohms resistance. All of a sudden, I pressed the button for hit and got nothing. Then the scary part. I hit the button again, and the carto really crackled, and I looked at the display and all of a sudden it said 5.3 volts on it. I know I didn't hit the button over and over in such a way that I could have accidentally reset the voltage upwards like that.

Anyone have any ideas on what might have happened?

The only thing I could think that might have happened is that you pressed your button just hard enough to trigger it multiple times without realizing it. Kind of like pushing a button on purpose trying to just barely make electrical contact and it sort of "pulses". Other than that, if it happens again then it just may mean that something might be wrong with the Provari, you never know.

Just a thought.

That's a good theory, because it hasn't happened again. We'll just have to see though. Glad they supposedly have good customer service, just in case!

I've done exactly this while vaping in short vapes. If you vape five times quickly it puts it in Vup mode then you press a few times and nothing happens since it's in Vup mode. All the while you are pressing the button you are advancing the volts.

I've learned not to take five quick hits ;-) Just pause longer than two seconds at any point and it won't activate the menu. Annoying but with practice won't happen.

Hey, thanks Jeff! That never even occurred to me. And yes, I was taking a lot of short puffs on it while it was happening.
Good to know there's a sort of "two second rule".
