Spike is an outstanding colorist. He layers and layers to get just the right shade and density. His washes and fades are ultra cool. Now I just have to be vigilant about putting sun screen on it. I don't want this puppy to fade any time soon.

Thanks! I feel the same way. I wanted something cheesecake, but not cliche or hackneyed. It's in the process of healing right now, so it looks kinda chunky and feels like a really bad sun burn. Soon, though. Soon.

yea i did a tattoo myself to but i use ash and a needle and sring and not going to say how frome thare but ill jest say not in the normal way lol not dots at a time but lines i think if u think abut it u can figure it out

I had a tiny one on my ankle. Lost that bit of skin less than a year later.
At a local fair I had an artist do a henna one to make my heart-surgery scar look like a zipper. My uncle thought it was in such bad taste that he wrote me out of his will.

Thanks! I'm in the peeling phase right now so it's kinda gnarly looking, but it's on the mend. I'm already thinking about how to expand it to a half sleeve.
I got my first ink almost two years ago. Nothing quite that elaborate but it's pretty intricate I think.
Yours looks good though. I like the style.
I wish I knew somebody that was that talented that I could keep going back to. I've been craving more ever since I got this one. He did a good job for what it is but I see a lot of errors in the detail. Call me picky.

Spike is just an amazing artist. He's known all across the West Coast as one of the top tattoo artists out there. If you're on Maui you'd be a fool to have anyone but Spike ink you.

nice ink ur friend is extremely talented.Srry bout the migraines. fightin one now myself screen almost off no lights.have tried bout half the stuff out there If I dont catch the visual disturbances b4 it really starts up they stick for days. keep that thing covered for a bit till it heals up and use heavy screen when U go sleeveless. B a shame to mess that one up.
Sorry about your migraine too. I'm between cluster headache cycles right now so I feel better than normal.
As far as the tat goes, yeah, I'm keeping it covered up for the first six weeks or so... which isn't a problem given the crappy weather in Oregon at the moment.
