That's a great tattoo Shady! How often do you have to touch up the color on those?

With the now sliced foot I've decided to wait until next weekend. I don't want to have to worry healing a cat scratch and a tattoo at the same time. It would be just my luck that the two would mix badly and have it turn into a big ordeal.

If getting it done in Los Angeles ... Get it done at Shamrock on Sunset. Ask for Isaiah Negreet ... Amazing artist, shop is open till 1-2am on weekends ....

I have roughly 4-5 tattoo's by him ... He has also done work for Nsync, some different rappers, Ja Rule, etc....

I had my eyebrows tatoo'ed on 3 months ago, no one can tell. The cost in a small rural area was $425. (I didn't get 1 eyebrow hair back after chemo, but at least it came back on my head, lol)

My wife is a tattoo artist and she always warns clients that tattoos to the feet wear out very quickly and do not heal well(because of the friction with foot wear). Just our opinion but either way enjoy!

Thanks, The color should last a long time (years), they tell me getting sunburned alot will make the color fade faster.

I am glad females didn't get tattoos when I was a young man. I am a strange sort, I know that a tattoo in any prominent position would have put me off sex quite a bit.

IDK - it seems a shame that, out of all of the beautiful tat work available out there, you're first one would be a couple of ugly little targets. How about a pretty flower or something on each toe, to distract from all of the bumps and bruises you're always getting!

My mom got a butterfly on her upper chest (but just under her bra line) when she was 40-something. I got my beautiful Celtic love knot on my lower back for my 35th. (Yeah, the line work is ok, but that filling in REALLY hurts - especially when it hits the spine!)

I guess, either way you'll probably be back for more - they're almost as addictive as nicotine! LOL!

Well, I didn't go for it this weekend and will continue to contemplate. I know that little targets aren't fancy or pretty but I like the concept of them and where it came from.

I like tattoos on other people but I'm still not sure for myself. My daughter decided she wanted to think about it some more too. I'm very ok with that. I'd rather she didn't at all. Again, there's my fear of commitment and I didn't go through with it

Actually, I have thought of exactly that. The only thing is I have a large collection of anklets and I love them. I wouldn't want a tat and the anklets to clash with each other.

Expensive, typically $100/hr or so. I've spent from $250 to $1k for mine. There are people who charge less, but usually tend to suck... you do get what you pay for.

This is about accurate. Unless you can find an artist that charges in other ways aside from by the hour I'd expect to pay about that much for them. Given how much you are going to have to pay for them I would recommend that you rethink the thought of getting the targets on your toes. While they might be a cute idea now, you might not like it later. It would also look funny IMHO. I do tattoos myself, and I charge roughly around 100 an hour. I also recommend against getting anything on the foot or toes. These areas are more likely to not heal properly or get infected. A tattoo needs to be exposed to air to heal properly and they should be kept dry as well until around the 4th day of healing.

A friend of mine is a Tattoo artist in LA and the Valley he is very experienced and has been in mags and stuff but his rate is about 200 an hour in LA in KY it was 100 just to give you an indication.

I've got 8 and only two really hurt bad. Toes/feet wont be that bad as what your looking for isnt that big at all.


Both of these were a few hours under the needle.

I totally agree. When I was getting my back piece done and it was on my spine.. oh lord, I would have never made it through it if it had not been for AC/DC and Meticalla blaring in my ears. I tried the whole drinking before and during a tat and it made it ten times worse. I was having my lower back covered up and it was single needle and oh gosh, I was praying for death or something to just make it stop hurting. I drank more took some pain killers, and all I managed to accomplish was losing my buzz, bleeding all my ink out ( and then I had to get hit harder with the needle) and getting sick to my stomach. I defiantly learned my lesson then. I just go in and put my music on and swear like a sailor ( well under my breathe.) LOL

Alcohol will have the same effect as pain killers(blood thinner), and some artists(probably not many) will not do a tattoo if you have *clearly* been drinking. By all means have a drink if thats what it takes, but dont overdo it.

The trick I use when getting inked is headphones, that way you dont really hear the machine, kinda like at the dentist...lol

Well, atleast you waited until you were an adult. When I was 15 I had this brilliant idea of getting a tat on my shoulder. This was a long time ago mind you, and not too many 15 year old girls got tats back then. I got an ugly rose on my shoulder, bla!!!!!!!!!

I've hated it ever since. Had it redone when I was 30, still wasn't satisfied, then at 40 I had a whole new tat to cover it up, I still don't like that, so now I'm thinking about having a tribal design done over that. Bottom line is, I wish I hadn't gotten anything back then because I don't like it at all really.

My daughter talked me into letting her get a tat when she was 17, she loves hers and she got another one last year. A bible verse in fancy handwriting around her ankle. It really is unusual, very artistic and I actually like hers.
