What do you mean "Killed it Off" Anthony ?? Isn't on the market any more ?? Since when ?? I've got 4 of them myself and Love them. Built like the proverbial "Brick S%*# House", ya can't hurt them, and that FSK chip is something a dna mod aspires to be. There, I said it.

Hohm Tech no longer makes mods, just batteries. They actually released a post saying they now have 10% floor space somewhere and are starting automotive R&D. Their mods are being blown out you can get the slice for like $19 plus shipping.

I think they should have ran it as long as they could but they chose not to, also Ben has a habit of moving from one thing to the next. I mean if it makes money can't blame him but sucks for us who like their stuff, lol.

Yea, I knew it was in the works to transition to batteries, but didn't know just when. I don't think one can beat a G2 and the Technology behind it, even the finish is Very, Very Good, unlike the Slice's finish (but the technology is like the G2's).

I wanted a G2 but they were gone and at $38 I know why. I don't mess with temp stuff but would have tried it with Kanthal. I'm not big on the slice, I use 18650 mods and ain't buying different batteries, same reason I don't do temp, not buying all kinds of wire. I'm just cheap and lazy, I guess.

I knew it was coming, but, Now it's Official ?? I have all I need, but to have that option taken away arbitrarily, "just because" is Crap !!

That is so sad. It has been the Only Device to successfully TC/TL Kanthal/Nicr. No one has, to this day AFAIK, been able to figure out that trick. Genius !!

You know me Tony, I've been over on the VU forum following the G2 and Slice threads before I finally bought in (way back), partly due to some of YOUR reviews on them. I'm gonna give all my HohmTech devices a big hug tonight.

The only TC/TL I have EVER messed with is with the HohmTech devices and Kanthal/Nicr, that's it goblin, so I'm with you on that for sure. It took me a few days to figure out the G2/Slice settings to get it to work the way it is supposed to, but when I did, THAT was a game changer for me, and no buying all that fancy wire and letting all my Kanthal/NiCr just sit and decay (I have a good chunk of change wrapped up in it). I mean, I already had all this wire (a full, BIG tote of it, and all different kinds of twisted, single wire, from Quad 32g to single 26g) so when HohmTech came on the scene with their FSK chip it was almost too good to be true. TC/TL the way it was supposed to be. I'm distressed now. I need a drink. Where's my bottle of Jack ??

The only reason no one is touching Kanthal TC is because it's not a 100% (doesn't work well on things like the Aqua or Kayfun- restricted wicking) and the temp amount no one really wants to go to 700 degrees because it can be toxic with certain metals.

It will come though and in an affordable package, just give it time.

Only a fool would set it to 700°F to vape, but some would (I guess) want to go a good 300°F above recommended Safe settings.

I didn't know that. I am using mine in a Siren V1 with a 3.5mm coil and KGD, and a Berserker with a 2mm coil and Rayon, and the TC/TL works Great for me, it does what it is supposed to at 93°C and one with Kanthal and one with NiCr wire and FSK curves set to 15 or less. But that's interesting to hear all the same goblin, like I said, I didn't know that.

I think it also helps that I had NEVER had a DNA device, so I didn't have to UNLEARN what I knew about setting up TC/TL when I got my first HohmTech device, as it is different to be sure (from what I have read in posts about the DNA's). Using Kanthal/NiCr in TC/TL with a HohmTech device is just as safe as using that Fancy wire in a DNA or YiHi device in a lot of peoples opinion, not just mine. Getting it set up correctly from the beginning is the key, and not hard at all. It took me a couple of days to get mine set up right (and understand just what I was doing), but I'm getting along in years and not as sharp as a lot of ya'll out there. Sometimes I walk around the barn a few times just to get into the front door, ya know ??

Orange 151w, if it hadn't been orange, I'd have passed, lol. I love it though, pbusardo did an interview with Ben from hohmtech, a while back. Ben couldn't get Phil's tank to kanthal tc and did a short video on it, added to the end. That's the only reason I know wicking is a big deal on kanthal.
