I'm sort of in the same boat. I chain vape a lot more than I ever smoked. I know that I do this because it just taste so darn good! My solution to this was to enter the world of DIY. Now for flavors that I love and know I'll vape all day, I lower the nic level. I don't find myself vaping more because of lowered nic levels. It's because of the flavor. I'm sure that after a good 6 months, I probably won't vape quite as much. But that remains to be seen.

When I first started vaping, I know I was vaping way more than I smoked. Part of that was the newness and trying to stave off cravings. The absorption of nicotine is different with the e-cigs (delayed absorption and probably not as efficient).

Now that I've been vamping for ~7 months, my habits have changed quite a bit. I can go quite a long time without vaping without having that, "I've got to have a smoke now or I'm going to destroy something" feeling. I get up early in the morning to have my quiet computer/coffee/vaping time. So that time of day I vape a lot, but after that it's just a little use here and there throughout the day.

I recently coached a creative problem solving team that my daughter was on that required me to be on a non-smoking campus from 9 am to 6 pm, herding a bunch of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders around. I sneaked a couple of vapes in the bathroom that whole time, and despite the stress of the competition and herding kids around I was calm and not going bonkers for nicotine. If I had still been smoking I would have been a basket case. Something about the addiction to *just* nicotine is definitely different than the addiction to cigarettes.

I too am a vape-a-holic lol i've always got a box in my hand or on my person at almost all times, when i first started i dropped cigs the day my "starter" kit arrived and was going through cartos and batteries wayyy too fast for my lil 510 sticks lol, ended up going with a vv box and an acorn tank and that has cut the battery switching/charging down to once a day. as for liquid use i probably fill my acorn tank a half dozen times or more a day.

like most ive gone to DIY since then and am still toying with flavors looking for "my" best mix, ive got a couple all day's i run with but still on the lookout for new and improved mixes.

As far as the increasing my nicotine intake goes...I say decrease it the only reason I vape so much is because I can do it anywhere, so you dont have to worry about that. my plan is every time I buy a new thing of e-fluid is to decrease the nicotine content till it hits zero. which was the whole reason I bought my e-cig, I love to smoke but hate the health problems that come with it, so I decided that hey I can still smoke with e-cigs and step down my nicotine intake till zero...best thing ever!

Let us know how that works out when you have 0 throat hit with 0 nic strength. Maybe it will be fine for you.

Some of us just aren't TH addicts. I've been happy with a Joye 3.4 Ego for over a year. I was a 6mg. for a little while and tried the 0mg, but it was just too diff. Just went up to 3mg and noticed the difference and was happy then. 3mg. is pretty much nothing.

I think those of us that never gave in to the higher voltage PV's ( more is better philosophy ) might have an easier time putting these down.

I vape more than I smoked and I use 24 mg nicotine because I love the effect it gives me over nicotine from cigarette smoking. Strong nicotine is a nervous system stimulant just like caffeine and it wakes me up better and gives me energy - like vaping a Red Bull. I like it so much I desire to be nicotine wired all day - no jitters like caffeine and it causes no major health problems with no hard crash - This form of nicotine is The Perfect Legal Drug.

Happy I can use my nicotine til the day I die and know it won't be a death due to heart or lung disease cased by cigarette smoking.

I wanna echo this. Even though I said in my above post that I love the nic and use it all day, there are times when I cannot vape. I too notice there are no nicotine withdrawal symptoms with this type of nicotine the same way we did with cigarettes.

Even going from a high e-cig nicotine to nothing for long periods of time i get no unpleasant symptoms. Because of this I strongly believe that We have all been Lied to concerning nicotine and the reasons we are addicted to cigarettes and therefore experience withdrawal symptoms.

I do not believe nicotine is at all responsible for this but other alkaloids found in burning tobacco smoke. Everyone out there is believing a lie about nicotine - because the tobacco industry really doesn't want people to know what they are actually addicted to - this conspiracy is huge and I believe can be proven scientifically.
