So, my PV just died. 2 months of good hard use. I have a Chuck coming in the mail (likely tomorrow), batteries are here, no charger (dealextreme was out of stock!). Everything is out of order lol

Wow, that's about all I can say, this is not a good feeling for sure! Good thing I have about 50 packets of snus. My girl offered to give me her PV so that I could vape, but I'm stubborn, I'm gonna stick it out with the snus until I get all of my parts.

Sooo, to all you new vapers out there, have a backup plan !! Extra batteries, extra PV, extra charger too! If you don't have at least 2 of everything, you don't have enough!

Ahhhh, at least this peach flavored snus is good :D

Yeah, thats the thing. I'm in between 3 possible PV's right now. My main PV was a JS (R.I.P.), the Chuck should be here tomorrow, and I have a 5v box mod I'm working on, but the charger for those CR2's are back ordered. I dont think there's a local battery store I can pick up some 18650's from for the Chuck. We have a batteries plus, but I dont think they carry that size. I suppose worst case scenario I could grab some non rechargable CR2's from the store but they're high and I dont think they would last very long to make it worth the money.

I started out on a Mini Fogger but I sold it not too long ago because the cart size on them was just too small. Hindsight is 20/20 right??

Well for me snus is a good hold over until the cavalry arrives, kept me going last week for two days until my carts and juice arrived. I like the General Wintergreen, make the American stuff look like the s**t it really is. Now I also have extra batts for the JS, batts & attys for an 801 and a USB PT.

You don't want to use CR2s in a chuck. They won't even fit unless you get some kind of adapter. You want the 3.0v RCR123a type batteries that are damn near impossible to find anywhere. Most of them offered online are 3.7v. The only 3.0v option I've found is the Tenergy brand on a US site. Something insane like $40 for a set of 4 though IIRC.

I'm ready for equipment failure. I've got enough batteries and atomizers for my 510 to put together 8 e-cigs and getting ready to order some more spare atomizers.

8 atty's and still ordering more? Hmmm, just a wee bit of ocd. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go wash my hands........again

If you want to keep yourself off the cigs, yes better be prepared with alot of spare parts. These china made products would easily die , i dropped my ecigs a lot and 2 510's batt die in 2 days, lucky that i have 4 510's with 2 extra batts +4chargers and 2 401s so i'm still ok. I Just got a 5pack mega power batts and few more atomizers on their way.I just don't wanna be without ecigs for even an hour.

Yeah, I ordered the CR2 adapters from Jeff. 16850's are on the way for 3.7 option.

My mission tonight will be to build a USB passthrough. I have everything that I need to do it (I think). That'll get me by until all my parts arrive :)

Correction. You BROKE 2 batteries in 2 days, they didn't die. If you smashed a Honda into a tree, you wouldn't go around saying that Hondas die easily.

I've been using the same atomizer and same 2 batteries in my 510 for as many days as it says in my signature down there with no problems. But then again, I don't throw mine into the ground. :)

16340 / RCR1234 Rechargeable Lithium Ion Batteries

Li-Ion - 900mah - $4.49/ea
LiFePO4 - 750mah - $3.29/ea

I just bought from them - they from CT to NJ in one day (regular shipping), ordered in the afternoon, and it shipped the same day.

Renaissance, bummer to hear.....but then again....I think I know how you felt when it happened. I just lost my very first 901 atomizer 2 days ago.....came as a total shock.....didn't even have any indications of problems....was just working fine and then added some drops of liquid on the atomizer and it was no more. That little guy has been with me since I started in April.....used him to test out every mod I've built, every voltage test I've run, and every DIY liquid I've mixed. I got so used to having him around, I completely forgot that he might kick the bucket some day! Totally stunned. I feel for your loss.

Yeah, we get into our comfort zones and forget that the inevitable is somewhere in our future. Good thing I have some 801 connectors from nerf. I'll probably be building a USB passthrough tonight, even if I don't get my Chuck today, just so this very thing doesn't happen next time!

Condolences to your atty TnA, sounded like it lived a good life. I hope you had a nice ceremony for it. ;-)

I have everything I need with me at all times. I carry a fanny pack. 5 attys ~ 2 801 bats ~ 2 JS bats ~ JS usb charging cord ~ 4 RCR123a + charger~ 2 bats for SD + charger ~ Fluval polyester ~ 3 30 ml bottles of juice.

So Monday I drop the Prodigy, SD & JS in my pocket, and drive to work. Mid morning the Js starts to fade and just walk over to where I hang my fanny pack..... Its not there!!! Crap, forgot it at home.. WWWAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

Scroundged through all my desk drawers, cabinets found enough stuff to put together 801 penstyles that got me through the day. Get home that night and start to think, what would have been so horrible? Am I that addicted, am I that dependant??? Hell, yes!!!

But I will now either be prepared with stuff in both places or at least prepared to just gut it out without crying like a little baby! It is so unbecoming.
