I've spent the past 5+ months looking for the perfect vaping experience.
I was *desperate* to quit my Merit Ultralight Menthols - especially after being hospitalized with a rapid heartbeat and A-Fib just before Christmas...
So during the ensuing months, I bought a Blu, a 510 and a KR8.
I also spent a small fortune on e-juice.
(I currently have over 20 bottles of various vendors' wares sitting here.)
I even tried Swedish Snus.
But every PV had something going for it - and something lacking:
The Blu tasted great, but the battery life was terrible.
The 510 had clouds of vapor and TH (I use the PTB mod), the batteries were better - but the taste was.. lacking.
The KR8 had almost everything going for it: nice taste, long battery life - but the cartos are disposable, and I never knew when the one I was using was about to die for good.
(Plus the aggravation of boiling and refilling to try and keep them working longer to save $$ got to me.)
The same with e-juices:
Some tasted too much like candy
Some were too thick and dark and clogged my attys
Some weren't *anything* like I expected
Some were just foul
And Snus, although containing the alkaloids that are a part of the addiction, are Swedish FDA-approved, have been a successful alternative for hundreds of years, etc. - just wasn't for me...
Then I found my perfect solution about a week ago:
* Ken's Box Mod from boxmods.net with the 510 adapter...
(Runs about $27, and another $15 for 2 batteries and a charger.)
This thing ROCKS!
The battery easily lasts all day (more like a day and a half; and I go through 3-4 carts a day).
I just pop in a new battery before leaving for work in the morning, and it still runs like a champ over 18 hours later.
(And for some reason the taste of the juice is improved as well!)
* I settled on Halo TruePure and CoolMist, along with E-SmokeyTreats Vanilla, as my main vapes - although I still like Wordupecig's Merit Menthol now and then.
Now, instead of throwing 3 PCCs in my laptop bag, filling a cup holder with PVs and worrying about when a battery or carto was going to crap out on me, I just grab Ken's Box Mod and a bottle of my "Juice-O'-The-Day" - and away I go!
I still carry the 510 PCC - but only for the extra atomizer and a couple spare pre-filled carts.
(I drive almost all day every day, so it's easier to change out a cart than try and fill one at 70 mph. I wait to fill when I stop...)
The Blu and the KR8 have been put away on the shelf.
And all but 4 bottles of juice are just sitting there...
So after over 45 years of smoking, spending hundreds of dollars and experiencing endless frustrations trying to switch to e-cigs, my Quest is finally over!
I am finally "One Happy Vaper" - and unless our Govt does something stupid, I shall remain so...
BTW, I haven't had a combustible cigarette since December 15!
