Im new to the forum but, not exactly new to vaping.
I half heartedly started vaping back in February of this year. My uncle has his own vape shop and I decided to check it out. I didn't do it as a way to stop smoking but as a cheaper alternative to smoking.
He set me up with his starter kit. Two 900 Mah batteries, a couple of CE3 tanks and several sample bottles of juice that he made himself. I was OK. Most of the juice I didn't like, except for one. Something that he named "Midnight". It was awesome! It tasted EXACTLY like chocolate covered cherries. (I'm not a big fruit flavor guy) Now that I look back on it, it could very well be my "all day vape". I asked him for more but, he lost the recipe. Oh well.
I went out of the country for three months with my job and forgot to bring me e-cig stuff with me. Most of the people there were doing the e-cig thing. Me with my cheap third world cigarettes, that made my teeth black faster than American cigarettes, felt jealous. I knew I was going to get back into the e-cigs once I got home.
I get home and start to get serious about this "vaping thing". I buy a couple of top wick pyrex tanks that break very soon after I bought them. My fault, I guess I wasn't very careful. I dropped them.
I felt like crap. I broke two $15 tanks within a month. I was not deterred. I felt like if I kept trying I would find "the holy grail of vaping". This was starting to not be a cheaper alternative to smoking.
I kept going. I looked for some tanks. I felt happy with the E-go batteries I had. I just needed some durable tanks. I don't need one of those huge batteries that makes me look like I'm smoking out of a 30mm bullet. Those big ones are too faddish. My choice. I just want to vape happy.
I got a Kanger pro tank II. I loved it right off the bat. Best taste ever. I don't mind the airy hit. I'm after the flavor and the vapor production. In that order. No real need for a throat hit either but that is nice sometimes.
As my luck would have it, the tank began to leak. Not just a little but a lot. My battery would be flooded. I searched Google for solutions. Maybe I was doing something wrong. Sure, I'm still new. I'm not doing something right. RIGHT?
My search of Google lead me to hundreds of reasons why my tank could be leaking plus another hundred things I could do to correct it. What!!!? This happens a lot? I'm not the only one? ...!!! I'm done!!! I give up!!! Its too hard with very little positive return with all things considered.
MY RANT:
-After ordering from several different vendors, I still can't find that "all day vape".
- my tanks are all crappy. I can't afford to spill money into a habit that, in the long run, is going to cost me more than smoking cigarettes.
- why does this have to be so hard. I can't seem to catch a break while others seem to be pleased.
- I want to vape, I would prefer to vape but I am "gun shy" due to my past experiences.
- I like the flavors. I like that I don't stink. I like that my breath doesn't stink. But, I put way too much effort into this compared to the price.
-i don't want to stop vapping but the consumption of time and money honestly is starting to out way the convenience of smoking analogs.
