Got into the vaping maybe 4-5 years ago. Had maybe a year or more vaping and buying every device possible until i found the reo about a year+ into my vaping journey.
I found the reo and one other bottom feeder. Frankly i liked the other bottom feeder slightly better in terms of taste. But it broke 6 times within a year- it had wires on it soldered on by a 12 year old.
A little after finding the reo i left the forums and just stayed with the reo. Started with 510s and 306s but for me personally the right cartomizer properly primed was my vape heaven when factored in ease of use, durability, vapor, throat hit. And taste was fine (of course not as good as sitting on the couch in an upright position with the light on dripping 2 drops at a time directly on top of an atomizer but um lets say that got old really fast for me personally)
Anyways writing this now, years later, the reo has gotten even better than it was. Since I've been away from the forums and new products i did a 3 month study looking back on all i missed. An honorable mention-- the amped tank- this is a tank for atomizers like a 510 - this thing was like 120 bucks for a tank !!!!!! You still needed to buy a device to use it on if you didnt have one. And according to many it worked like crap. And you could do nothing else with it besides vape an atomizer. It looked all figity to get it to work right. I dont even know what would happen if broke the glass- unreal.
Anyways, tons of devices i saw came out. But they are all battery boxes or ways of delivering voltage/current to an atomizer. Without a way of replenishing liquid to the atomizer the battery box whether a mech or vv/vw the machine was only so good as the topper/atomizer/tank you have with it unless you really plan on dripping. And some do enjoy their hour of dripping at night and i dont fault you for that but as an everyday all around mod the reo takes the cake for me.
Especially now with the rm2 and the low profiles ability to fit other rba/rda's . I love my rm2. It really changed the game for my reo. The slight issue i had in years past of flavor being weak cause the juice seemed to have a tough time getting to the actually coils of some attys (or i was using it wrong) now became its greatest strength. I can now see the juice cover the coil of my builds. Some people may just like it to reach the cotton wick. Some people wanna emerge the coil in the juice for a half a second. Whatever your liking is the reo accommodates all. The excess juice just drains back down. And you are left with the perfect coil "wetted" do your exact desire.
I not knocking all e cig devices. Since i was away for so long i even picked up a couple devices. One that has some extreme battery life. A knock off mech mod and a knock of kayfun. Even with the kayfun. Props to the designer. That is a nice tank. Sometimes i can get some very good taste out of it. But the one thing i really dont like is im at the mercy of the vacuum seal and how hard i pull on it which determines how much juice feeds the wick. I got so spoiled with the reo that i can dial the exact i dont know the right word, "wetness/humidity" of the vape each time that if something is a little off i dont enjoy it as much. I know there are some tricks you can do with the kayfun inhaling through the airhole and other things but its still not the same to me as a reo.
And at the end of the day definitely not as easy as filling your reo bottle with your favorite juice. Building a simple coil (even though capable of some advanced ones) attaching it to the two posts and feeding some cotton through or doing a silica build and having a virtually indestructible mod in your hand that has proven the test of time.
