Hi,
----I have the eGo CLR 1.0ohm heads. I need to know what kind of wire is used in those heads

----0.4mm NiCr alloy
Have a nice day!

0.4 mm NiCr is what? Nickel and what makes up the alloy alloy? They are CLR heads for MtL with smaller air holes and i will rebuild them, just want a clarification on the wire. If they are Ni heads then i use the Ni setting on my eVic Mini i presume.

Thanks
Harry

NiCr alloy just means it is a mix of Nickel and Chromium. Alloy just means a mixture of a metal and other things, (metal or non-metal) that retains the characteristics of a metal.

The reason they wrote it as NiCr alloy, is that if they didn't write alloy, it would mean it was a molecule with a nickle atom and a Chromium atom. To make it easy to grasp, let's pretend hydrogen and oxygen were metals. H2O alloy would be like a balloon filled with 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen. A highly flammable balloon.
H2O would be a water balloon.

Back to the CLR heads, you're right they are 26 gauge. Since they didn't specify which alloy of NiCr, it is most likely 80% nickel, 20% chromium. Not suitable for TC. The added chromium makes the TCR of the alloy way too stable to be good for TC. You'd need to rebuild with nickel, titanium, or SS316.

Thank you very much. I went and searched the forums and got the answer on the NiCr thing. Now, as per Joytech, seeing these are MtL heads that have a much smaller center hole through the head, they recommend low to high wattage as 10W/15W/20W as the highest. So, in VT around 15 should be good with w 70/30 VG/PG liguid?
Edit for 2 typo's

Subtank mini is a bit loose for MtL, but it is an awesome choice if you want to try out DL. The smallest airflow is just a bit looser than a good MtL, and the largest is just open enough for a good DL.
A good tank to work your way up on. I've had one since they came out, and I still use it pretty much every day.
